I'm going out in Janurary and need a place to live. I've been checkin the classifieds and it looks like renting a place for 2 people is about a grand/month. Is that right? Also are there any multi-mountain pass deals or am I stuck with single-hill passes.
Any info is welcome!
thanks

yeah get a big three pass even though you will probally only go to norquay once. and as for rent goes, thats pretty standard $400-$500 per person a month. there is definatley some wicked places for cheap but you need to have the right connections. or you could go live with some cheap ass aussies and cram 10 people into a 2 bedroom place, then its cheap.

A car would be helpfull, but not neccessary. You can almost always hitch hike, and I dont think there are any free shuttles.

$1000.00??!?!?
you can stay at the same sun for less than $180.00 a week. that's 7 nights 8 days.

yeah what the guy said above me, if you stay at the same sun hostel to start off you year, you get cheap accom. free breakfast and you will most likely always be able to find a ride to the hill. I would have a few grand saved up. enought for a ski pass, and then possibly buying a used beater of a car in calgary. if not i suggest getting a job at the shine and just working a couple days a week but using their transport to get you to and from the hill.
if you dont have a vehicle fernie is a way better option. the mountain is way closer and ive never seen a hitch hiker wait longer then 10 cars.
