Ipod copatabilitity with iTunes 7.0.1

so i jsut get the new nano that was realeased a few weeks ago, and i downloaded the new itunes, but itunes wont reconize my ipod.. what do i do for it to appear on the left?
ive tried opening i tunes then plugging in ipod
ive tried plugging in ipod then turning on itunes
ive tried restarting my computer
my driver is configured correctly and is reconized,
SO WHY DOESNT IT NOTICE IT!
ugh.. anyone wanna help me out?

if you can find a place to download the old itunes do it. itunes 7 blows.

you're probialy right... but just uninstall iTunes and the ipod update then install it again, it should work

oh, and how much are the new nano's running for, i think i might buy one just for skiing, cause i dont think it'd be good to take my video up the hill

Steeze is right, the new iPods only run on the neweset version of iTunes.
But as for not recognizing it, im not to sure. Try uninstalling, then re-downloading from apple.com

oh and i have a quick question about the new iPod nano's does the scroll wheel light up?

Maybe your iPod will work if you install the older version of iTunes, but it could just be your computer. I have a working iPod that will not be recognized by my computer, despite numerous attempts to reinstall iTunes, and trying to reinstall the software on my iPod. My computer has a virus, and that's probably what's messing up your connection. Just a thought

im just gonna buy a refubished mini or something, so i dont have to wory about upgrading or anything. plus there hella cheap now
