Just saw Rolling Stones Live

And yeah, it was one of the coolest group of 60 year olds that I have ever seen. They rocked for almost three hours! After a bottle of wine, a steele reserve, a weed cookie and a joint, I was ready to fully appreciate the show. Minus the almost passing out while watching, the show was sick. I was in disbelief for the first half, just because I could not believe that I was seeing the stones in person. Overall, I would say totally worth the 116 dollar ticket and half track of weed. If anyone here has a chance, defenently take it, before these guys die.

I hate to say this but mick jagger is lip syncing for patrs if his performances, and has numerous back-up vocals pre-recorded top make him sound like that, as well as his live vocal send for added realness. There is a group of musicians underneath the stage that play many lead guitar, bass, drum, and other tracks that the band is not actually playing. This is done to maintain a certain quality of show that the fan base is expecting from the legendarty group. In their old age they cannot perform as they use to, jesus chrsit, keith richards is lucky to be able to function as a human being. they are an amazing group and very talented, it is a shame that they must continue on in this manner but many of todays surviving musical legends due this as well, little richard rarely plays his own piano parts, brian wilson is a disaster live, etc. I am not knocking the group but I though I would just put that out there. they are however the largest touring act with 112 semi-trucks leap froggin the world to set up for the show. That is why you tickets cost $116 or whatever it cost. wow all the post I have had todday have been negative. I apologize

I think thats bullshit casimaro, fuck you. It's not really that hard to play the guitar/instrument when u have been playing for all your life, it doesnt take that much effort. Mick Jagger cancelled some shows in Europe like a month ago cause his voice was fucked up, it was in the paper. Why would he do that if he just lip synched? Fuck you. I could just say that every band lip synchs and do you believe me just cause i said it?
I was at the show in Missoula too, it was sick as fuck, that was part of Montana history.

I also suppose when Mick is dancing all over the place and running all over the stage with a ton of energy, that is actually a robot. And when I saw the fucking band members like 20 feet away from me, they were all faking it, i mean the drummer wasn't even hitting the drums....god you are a fag. Alot of people are pretty active at 60, hell I saw BB king play a show here and he is like 80, so your just full of bullshit.

Ok lets calm down and look at this from a nuetral standpoint. The rollings stones are amzing and icons, they happen to have a group of musicians that play instruments underneath the deck to help them perfom the level of show that the audience expects. I did not say that the band was faking the entire show. I also did not say mick was lip syncing the entire show, I merely stated that there are back up tracks, and some leads of vocals being played back along with his natural vocal send. Have you ever noticed other instruments in the mix and you don't see them being performed, this comes from either one of two things, a pre recorded track being played back with the help of a time coded click track or other performers. in the stones case it happens to be a combo of both. You no matter how good you seats are you will never see this as it is a dark secret of live production. even if you had back stage passes you would not see this. I just happen to know because of the line of work im in, you can not believe me and act like you know everything because your daddy got you some good seats at a show, or you can say well fuck it I enjoyed the show and yes it is a possiblity, really I don't care, but don't call me a fag because i might know something you did'nt. its ok

well what the fuck is your line of work then? Yes, he had like 3 backup singers, trumpet player, trombone, couple saxophone players on the freaking stage, he introduced them all.
Honestly, what is so hard about playing an instrument and singing yourself? I'm sure they use high tech equipment to digitize all the sounds and maybe up the quality a bit, but to say that they have a freaking band underground (cough. bullshit) is really far fetched. So what if they play some sounds during the concert that would be hard to produce not in a studio setting, you are just trying to downsize the band.
From what I could tell, everything sounded totally live, u cant reproduce live quality sound, its way different than what u hear on a cd. Every fucking band out there reproduces/digitizes/changes their sound while in the studio (this is why shit sounds way different live) so I dont see the big deal.

And honestly, you can say all this shit, " My line of work..etc.etc", but until you post actual proof (i.e. a picture of this band underground), than you are just bullshitting.

listen man, I am in concert production, and yes i do know what I am talking about, so just drop it you are misconstruing my words, I am not trying to down play them as a band, if you really paid attention to what i was saying you would understand this , I really enjoy their music and would pay the money to see them knowing what is going on, stop trying to sound like you know what you are talking about because you don't. you sound down right silly to someone who does. i did not want a virtual e-battle with anyone, now that we have had one, you can continue to think what you want but you are mistaken.

I went to the free concert in Rio de Janeiro in February. There were 2 million people on the beach watching it, it was one of the most amazing nights of my life.
Oh yeah, and I was in VIP, less than 10 metres from the stage.

i must say that the stones are sick in concert. mick has so much energy its amazing. as to was casimiro said it could very well be true but i think its very uncool of him to come out and tell everyone that. the guy who started this thread was just stoked about the concert and wanted to hear other peoples' experiences, there was no need to bring up what he did and turn it into a debate. no one likes to hear that a great band is lip synching some of their music. i really have no idea if it is true but as a huge fan of the stones i will choose to not believe it. i say that if you are in the industry and know trade secrets keep them as just that, secrets. no one wants to know.
