USA Paranoia

I heard some interesting stuff on the radio this weekend, but its taken me untill now to post it and form a congealed thread-starter. Anyways, this guy was talking about how paranoid americans are about saftey. Before september 11, safety was a prevelant issue, but now its incredible how much saftey is valued.

Other countries also values safety, but not to the effect to make a saftey-meter and color coded warning levels that represent to the safety of the average american on any certian day. It might be like 3rd or fourth in importance. So, open for discussion and criticism, how has america taken safety to such an extreme, do you agree, disagree, think america is really paranoid and i dont know what else. GO!

the whole color coding thing and shit is fucking horrible... stupid idea, made for the 1% of the population that don't ahve a fucking brain. I would say that the paranonia IS very active. I hate it, because people take it very very seriously. Well, as soon as the patriot act is deemed unconstitutional (ion the near future) some of it will die down.

the US as a whole is to fuckin pussy about shit, sure the world hates us, but we shouldnt have to get to the airport 2 hours before our flight just to have time to get through security, and the US as individuals just plain sucks, mainly the middle aged mothers(mams), the ones that freak out about every little thing, like ull go to an event of some kind, and all the mams are super bitches because theyre scared outa their mind or somthin, its all pretty stupid

safety is important, but the USA, and NOfth american culture has taken it to the extreem. I posted an article about it some time back. It is called 'lack of imagination'. It is not directly about the color system or whatever, but it is pertinant. people arn't allowed to do anything anymore.
