this question is for the bigger skiers on here.
first some background:
im a big guy(6ft 220lbs) and right not im sking some tiny a$$ 169 fugitives. i know they are too small but the price was right.the fugis are not too soft for me, just too short. i am looking into a new pair of skis and i really like what the anthems have to offer. i ski little "mountains" in the midwest, almost always groomers. i have only skied powder once and it was only a foot deep. i ski about 50-50 all mountain-park but i like to mess around when im sking all mountain; butters, little hits and jibs where i can. i know the size would have to be the 178 cause thats as big as they go(and we dont need another "what size..." thread). i want to know how the anthems are for a bigger skier?

I'm 6'2" and 175, I like them a lot for the kind of skiing you are describing, the extra width is not noticable after you get used to them in like 1 day

Damn yo, 260 last year? I haven't skied them but at 240 I can butter the chronic wides pretty easily, so I would assume that the Anthems would probably be fine for someone your size, and if you can not kill the fujatives, then I doubt the anthems will give you any problems.

Prolly will be my ski this year when I pool together some cash.
I'm also 6ft and 215lbs. Always skied soft skis, and love soft skis.

I doubt there will be a place where you 'll be able to get them cheap, seeing as they're this year's skis. You might want to try proctorones, since you get a 10% discount by mentioning that you're from newschoolers.com

ordering next week(waiting for paycheck) found a place that has them for like 485 but they will beat any price by 10%, so: $379(Jibij)-$37.90(10% for those who cant do math)= $341.10 and they have pairs in stock. i will let you guys know where after i place my order
