im not 18 yet but im not gonna cause i really dont care who is president or whatever, they both always suck, its a waste of time, and voting is for old people anyway.
i just cannot stand it when people argue about politics and crap, it just gets so anoying and boring, those people need to get a life.
An amendment to section 18-18-406 (1) of the Colorado revised statutes making legal the possession of one ounce or less of marihuana for any person twenty-one years of age or older
Do you have no fucking mind? I guarantee you are one of those people who rides around on the Bush hating bandwagon but actually have no opinion and just hate on him because it was the cool thing to do at the time?
Im voting in the upcoming elections.
If you dont vote thats your own thing and its a pretty fucking stupid idea not too. But dont try and talk politics or try and say how the world should be run. go move to mexico.
fuck that. i voted once and i'll never vote again. in fact, if i could sabotage the entire voting process and make a fill-in like donald duck or mickey mouse when i'd do it in a second.
I didn't vote in '04 and I don't plan on voting this year. I don't follow politics enough to make a good decision on who to vote for I would just be voting based on parties. It just seems like a waste. Also I just can't convice myself that my one vote really matters. And I don't complain about politics because I realize I have no right to.
this is the absolutely wrong idea, that unfotunately 100's of thousands of people have: "oh, one vote won't make a difference...". Multiply that by a few thousand fucktards and there you go, the government is handed over to the people that don't deserve it, thanks to you and your comrades. If you don't like any of the candidates, well vote for the one you hate the less, as simple as that. I'll be voting for the next french presidential election in may.
word. some people are gonna hate on you but im with you on this one. my vote realy has no influence on the government and i dont want to take the time to register
dude it takes 8 seconds to register. That is true one vote doesn't really have an influence but unfortunately there hundreds of thousands that think that like someone said above me
Not true. Voting IS a right and I personally chose to waive that right. Why should I be forced to make an uninformed decesion and chose the lesser of two evils when it really won't matter to me which one wins? It's great you feel so strongly about this but thats just not me. I applaud anyone who does vote and anyone who doesn't vote has absolutly no right to complain.
yeah like i said above i usually hate both people running and i dont give a shit who wins. mabye ill vote and have a boring enough life to care about that crap when im older, but i think 18 is too young to be caring about that anyway, you should just be thinking about having fun.
The people being elected now have the potential to directly influence the way your life may be now, and in the future.
I find it ironic that there are so many people across the world who long to be able to choose their leaders, but cannot; while here in the US there are so many people who simply do not care.
Bottom line though, if you don't vote, you have absolutely NO right to bitch about what the government is doing.
That's a pathetic attitude. All of you that said that. I'm disguisted with people in society that think like that.
People have DIED for the rights you have as a citizen. People have died for the cause of revolution and for human rights. People that fought for America's existance are rolling over in their graves. People left their families, fortunes, and lives just to be able to have their own government. Even socities today are kept from voting, and are willing to risk their life for the chance to vote. You don't even deserve to have the rights that you have if you can't do the one duty to have them. Your input to the government is something you shouldn't want to do. You should be replaced with someone who is willing to perform their duties as a citizen.
voting should be mandatory like it is in australia and brazil and numerous other countries.
its your fucken duty to uphold your democratic rights, this doesnt mean sitting on the couch and eating cheesy poofs waiting for someone to do your job for you.
if you dont want to vote, then you should make your way to the nearnest voting station and fucken check a box that says you give up your right to vote in that particular election. if not fine your ass.
im gonna vote in state elections, but fuck presidential elections my vote doesnt count at all cause its all state-based not invididual based. suck a cock america JEA
the only person who its immoral for is the government who would fucken cry if voter turn outs were in the 70's and 80% like in normal countries.
only lazy american countries (well not only but of the countries that matter) have voter turnouts under 50%
Brazil and Australia are perfectly free and democratic countries. everyone can agree on that. If they feel that people need some motivation to get them to fucken make a choice then im all for it.
and i believe the fine in australia is like 50 AUD.
Well, the problem is that a lot of people that do not vote and would be encouraged to vote have no knowledge of politics whatsoever and they would just pick a random candidate and just decide to vote for that particular candidate. Like in Arizona the voter turnout is so low that they are contemplating having a voter lottery, where a random person who voted is selected to win one million dollars. This idea is supposed to encourage people to vote, which I'm sure it will, but a lot of people that would be voting because of this lottery idea have no knowledge in politics.
Immoral is not the way I should have put it. It's just sort of ironic. I mean we have the RIGHT to vote. I do agree though, something has to be done about the pathetic voting numbers.
i dont complain about the president, any president is going to do shit i dont like, but i live with it and dont get all worked up about it, it dosent effect my life enough.
and yeah people died for our right to vote, but mostly for our freedom, and we have the freedom to choose to vote or not, and sorry but i dont care that people died for my right to vote, people die for alot of shit i dont believe in. nazis died for hitler and his beliefs, so if i was a german in the 30's and 40's should i be a nazi because people died for my right to be one? this is kinda an extreme example, but if your smart youll get my point.
plus since i dont give a shit about politics i would be voting for someone i dont know shit about, so in that case my vote really wouldnt mean anything, and same with the thousands of other people that dont vote, so forcing people to vote really wouldnt do shit, mabye we should force people to be interested in something they really dont care about? but that would just be gay.
if you dont vote then dont bitch about what this country has come to and what will happen. if you're going to be overseas do an absentee ballot. if you dont wanna take the time to go out some night and vote because you just sparked a blunt use the absentee ballot. its really easy folks.
well my rents are all on my case to register to vote and go vote for the person that there voting for, but i say fuck that. i might go register but im not voting, becuase im not gonna take the time to find out what candidate is best. and im not just gonna let people tell me who to vote for. i really dont see this affecting me at all so im not going to vote. the presidental election will be diffrent.
yeah i made sure i'm registered this year, but the two main candidates for governor seem corrupt. For presidential elections if you live in a state that is primarily one party, it does seem kind of pointless. Most of the time all of the electoral college votes go to the party that won, that whole thing makes no sense to me. I just wish there were better choices than tweedle dee or tweedle dumb
i think you probably asked this question on the wrong website. But i think everyone who cares what happens in their country should vote. If they dont there basically saying they dont really care what happens in govt and in society.
Good for you. Fortunately your opinion is worth nothing because you are too complacent to take 30 minutes out of you life to be informed and vote.
Also find it humorous when people go vote for the presidential elections, but then won't bother for the senate races and other local elections, despite that they effect you more than the presidential.
whats the question mark for?
and by the way you should vote, cause if you dont you can fuck over your country(unless its not the presidential election/prime minister)
and caleb. knows all, listen to him... most of the time
