THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SACRAMENTO HAS ISSUED A SNOW ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 7 PM PDT THURSDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.
RAIN AND SNOW WILL DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON. SNOW LEVELS WILL BE NEAR 7500 FEET. SNOW LEVELS WILL DROP TO 6500 FEET TONIGHT. SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE THURSDAY ABOVE 7000 FEET. SNOW IS POSSIBLE AS LOW AS 6000 FEET TONIGHT AND EARLY THURSDAY BUT IT IS NOT LIKELY TO STICK TO THE WARM ROADWAYS.
3 TO 5 INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED ABOVE 7000 FEET BY THURSDAY EVENING. LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS MAY CONTINUE INTO FRIDAY BUT ANY ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN LIGHT.
