2006/2007 Binding Mounting

I am either getting a pair of 174 or 179 06/07 Public Enemys
I am mounting 05/06 Look p12 Ti (no lifter) bindings on them. A couple questions
1- For riding a combo of bumps, pow, and park should I mount true center? 1cm back from TC or 2cm back from TC?
2- I've heard that P12 Ti bindings are known to rip out of the mounting holes. I have heard that drilling 1 size smaller than the screw size helps this as well as using Epoxy instead of super glue also helps this. Is this true, and is there any other tricks to help prevent a binding tear-out?
3- For my body (5'11" ~160lbs) should I get 174 or 179 Public Enemys? Keep in mind I like moguls which like shorter skis and like riding switch.
Thanks so much!
Jake

1. mount them anywhere between 2 to 4 cms back from center.
2. just mount the bindings like normal, you'll be fine. if you are really worried, heli coil them. don't use epoxy, it won't be any better than wood glue.
3. for sure get the 179s. unless you're inexperienced, then go with the shorter ones. 179 isn't that big, so you'll be fine.

1. Don't go dead center if ur gonna ski bumps and the pes aren't meant to be mounted dead center so go a little bit back
2. The only problems I've heard of looks ripping out is on fat skis so you should be fine
3. Definetly 179

3cm back from dead center? Would that work well for PEs in bumps and riding switch?
Thanks,

3 cm back should be good.
you should lean more towards the 179.
expoxy those bindings in. K2 has a softer core (at least in my experience) so get them expoxied and/or helacoiled in.

I'm using 179 and mounting my P12 Tis with Heli Coil and epoxy.
I decided to go 2cm back from true center. Will they mount okay? The K2 labeled core center is several centimeters behind -2 from true center and the heel center is even farther back. The labeling ticker stops at least 5cm behind of where I am having them mounted.
Thanks,
Jake

1 cm back I found is really nice for everythin even pow in never caught my tip last season in the deep stuff and the switch handeling was still great

Someone says 3, someone says 1, I think I'll split the difference and go with 2cm.
Thanks for the help all!

i would say 179, that length should be money for you. and i would say prolly 3-4cm back is perfect. its foward enough to help with switch and park, but back enough so it should be decent for pow and bumps too.

I can still rip through bumps on my skis which are centred. You learn how to accomodate for the extra tail.
