I'm looking into getting a pair of Nordica Speedmachine 8 boots. I was just wondering if anyone has ridden these. I want boots that are good in the park, but not so much so that they are detrimental to skiing everything else. I have pretty small feet, so if anyone knows of any other boots that would be good for me, could you let me know. I appreciate any help
as far as i'm concerned( i've only used the sm8's once on a test) these boots rock.
the sm10 is a stupidly popular boot and there's not too much difference between them.
i picked these up for this season, best fitting boot for me. they get really good reviews and seem like a boot that can handle itself outside of the park. i might get something else for park though.
I've ridden this years speedmachine 10 and did not enjoy the experience. However, this was mainly because my foot did not fit the boot, I found them extremely uncomfortable. My foot fits salomons. Currently I'm in the original 1080 pro models, and want to move to new guns or xwave 10s, both of which fit me well.
If the boot fits well go for it. I can't give you an accurate description of how they fell in powder, cut up snow, or hard landings cause I was in so much pain just wearing them. The one thing I will say about them is the LOVE to go fast. Despite my feet being in imense pain they had unbelievable edge hold and a really aggressive and solid turn in. Seemed to me like an excellent race boot, but thats just me.
