How to resize an image

this might be stupid, but I can never figure out how to resize an image, I always have someone else do it for me, anyone wanna help?

well first off. not to be mean but theres a lot of usefel therads on this. and if you have photoshop, go to image, and i think resize, and put it to 50 by 50 if you want a new icon, or put it like 3oo to 300 if you want it bigger. i havent done this in a while so maybe someone else can tell you for sure
