woah that sounds cool...i wish my school had skiing.....well the main difference between whistler and fernie is size....of both the mountain and the town.......whistler is bigger with more partying and such, and the mountain is bigger.........but fernie has the wicked quality snow and small-town feel, and the charm of a smaller mountain....(you know the lifties and such).....other people will probably know more.......
good luck!

well fernie has better powder skiing just not as much variety to offer. I cant give much more detail on fernie but for whistler:
-good skiing and lots of options
-some epic powder days, great park
-30 minute lines on some holidays and weekends
-lots of tourists
-nice fun village(if your over 19 or have a fake ID)
-lots of chill people
Pretty much if you like a more cozy feeling where you can just relax and know everyone apt for fernie, well if you like lots of variety and partying, go for whistler.

stop spelling it furnie!!! sorry.
anyways, fernie's sweet stuff. it's 5 bowls, all with slightly different terrain, but all good. and with the bowls you have the ridges, which i think is where some of the best terrain at fernie is (and the snowboarders hardly ever go too far along the ridges 'cause they hate traversing). the park is good, but it's in a shitty location, if you want really hard terrain there's the headwall, which has the crazy lines (upper curry and ceder have some decent lines as well).
as far as the town goes, there's some good bars and stuff, but apparently you say you're underage so sucks for you. oh, and RCR is the devil. it's the #2 syndrome, they arn't as good as intrawest, so they feel they have to be assholes in order to become better. at least that's my theory.
