yep. Me too. I get the sad iPod face when I try to turn it on. From now on, I'm buying the extended replacement warranty from a place like best buy. But I don't think I'll be getting a new iPod anytime soon. I need a new avi beacon (remarkably the same price), and well...avi beacons are kinda more important than iPods.
i have a shuffle, and there durable as hell. I recommend these since there cheap now. Like you can drop it in snow and like accidently ski over it and it will still work. Amazing mp3 player
Thtas what happens when you buy a product from a company the clearly dominates the market. They dont care about the little guy, as long as they were able to fool you into buying one. Thats why you buy from creative, a superior product any way.
ya. And if you are planning on getting any accessories that come with it then they will give you like 1/2 price on them if you ask. You have to negotiate all that though.
ive had 3 new ipods... thank god for extended warrenty. but the extended lasts only a year and if mine breaks after it ends i thik im gettin some kind of zen
i've heard that the main problem with ipods is downloading free music from like lime wire and and other sharring programs because it gives your ipod viruses. this girl i know hers would turn on and then an ipod logo with a sad face would flash and then it would turn off. mine just makes this wierd humming noise and beeps in the back and then shuts off. ipods suck
i got a nano with my new computer, and within 4 days the screen shattered. I had it in the pocket of my sweatshirt, and I took it off when i was playing tennis. Then when I got home, i took it out of my pocket and the screen was fucking shattered. LESS THAN 4 DAYS! I still have no clue as to what could have broken it. The sweatshirt took no impact while i was wearing it, and it was just lying in the corner while i wasn't.
I dropped mine into the pool, whoopsiesss, but i took it to get fixed and they couldn't fix it so they gave me a new one, but i didn't tell them it fell in the pool, because the warranty doesn't cover accidents
I love my ipod... if you cant turn it on then hold the menu button+the centre button at the same time for 10 seconds... thats what happened to me, i thought it was broken but now it works fine, just had to reset it
the only problem i've had with mine is that the screen died (it was an early nano, and alot of those had screen problems). they replaced it without even asking what happened or caring.
i am on lucky number 4 with the ipods
1- 5 days after owning it, fell out of my pocket. cracking the screen (no replacement)
2- about 2 months after buying the new one, messin around in the halls at school got knocked over, landing on it. cracked screen (bitched on the phone, getting a free replacement)
3- battery died. free replacement
4- fingers crossed
i myself am also on my 4th ipod. my first one was the 3rd generation 15 gig (in my opinion that was the most well designed and highest quality ipod to date). it lasted for a good solid 2 years, and went through 2 batteries before it died. i was incredibly tough on it, and it went through hell. the fact that it made it that long was amazing. that ipod got replaced with a 5th gen. video last year with student pricing for like 250. a few weeks in, i crushed it skiing. sent it in, got a new one. the replacement got scratched to all hell over summer, and developed a issue where it would randomly turn on on its own. JUST got the replacement for that one this week, and was smart and got the case ; ) but apple has, in my opinion, an amazing warrenty with the ipods, and i have nothing but good expierences dealing with them.
I've had my Ipod for about 2 years now and, yeah, I've had some problems but they always clear up after resetting or restoring it.
I actually just got my Ipod working today after a couple months of it sitting in my closet, frozen.
I had a 4gb mini and sold it to some kid cuz i wanted a bigger one. He told me like a month later it died. I've had my new video for maybe...3 months now? and hopefully nothing will happen.
my creative broke a week after i bought it, and fucking best buy wouldnt let me return it..... i should have just used that 200 dollers to roll joints out of.
My friend has a old 15 gig i think, or 10 not sure, but he has dropped it so many times, the screen is scratched to hell. Hes had it for 3 years and hes just buying a new one now and his old one still works fine.
