okay so here is the deal there are a bunch of people saying that this looks gay or that looks sick. but skiing isnt about fashion last time i herd it was just about having a good time. hopefully this will stop people from making threads that are based upon image.
Skiing is probably the sport with the most trends. Yes, I know, blah blah, it's all about having fun. And i agree, i think we just have to accept it though. Its such a big part of our sport, it's omething that will always be there.
I know what you mean. The other day I forgot my neon yellow J Lindeberg belt so my ski day basicley sucked. Nothing sucks more than looking un-fabulous when doing dem trickxxx.
in a way it is, i mean im not promoting coat tailing and biting everyone elses steez. but style is the single most important aspect of skiing, whether your cuttin up bumps, slashin pow, or corkin out a switch 9. this obviously transcends to fashion because fashion has a large role in style. in the 80s and 90s it was the neon nylon aspen steez with headbands and bleached hair. the 2000s have yielded gangsta get-up, an obsession with matching, and even certain tricks-i.e. trucks, crutons, etc. basically as long as a sport based on individuality and personal style exists, so will trends within that sport. no one wants to rock some hardcore solo shit for fear of being ostracized, and i know for sure you wont see me droppin in with wack gear. in ten years all you fools are gonna be bitchin about how everyone is rockin the jetson steez too hard, and space boots are played out.
