ok so i hear on the helly hansen site eric pollard made himself an edit of pretty mucxh all of his footage this season. but the helly hansen sitre doesnt work! does n e one have the link to it cuz i hear it breathtaking
is it any good??? Is it any good??? It is absolutely mind-blowingly awesome. Hands down one of the best edits I have ever ever ever seen...truly remarkable!! He may not be a pioneer but this man has proved himself to be the future. In my mind he's the most influential skier ever. I mean when you look at the whole package; riding style, ski design, pushing the limits etc etc and the fact that he's only been on the scene for 6/7 years it's just astonishing what he has done...
I know what you mean but I was thinking in terms of Backcountry skiing, not just twin-tip skiing. I was thinking of the guys like Doug Coombs and Glen Plake etc when I said he's only be on the scene for 6/7 years.
Incidentally I have a copy of the vid that had his first seg. Unbelievable when you compare what he was doing then to what he does now...
just so all of u know, instead of having to wait for somebody to get it on youtube or found a download for it you could have just right clicked that link.
i just wanna say thanks again for histing that. i never got to see 100 percent of it cause my internet was whack when it first went up. but wow. ive always considered pollard to be not only my favorite, but by far the most interesting skier ive ever come across. his riding seems to be on such a higher level, i knw it sounds tacky, but he really does seem like he is one with his skis and the mountain. like his riding is so spiritual, its just amazing to watch. in some respects, skiing is a sport, but that right there is just pure artistic perfection.
