im sorta nervous about skis this season. I really cant decide between the ninthward comte and the fischer addict. I felt this question needed to be asked, seeing that i am a sorta average size for a 15-16year old. i am 6ft, 155, and still dont know which length will be better for me, 181 or 176. i would be mounting true center and using the skis for park only. will 181 make it harder to do rails, or will it be manageable? i am no expert. last year i skiied on 167foils mounted a little back, and they were obviously too short but i have grown since then. help me please.

It's all about how comfortable you are on skis. Either of those sizes would work fine, so it's just up to you. I think you'd be happy with the 181's though, since your centermounting them, they will actually feel shorter. But it's alittle more then an inch, so it doesn't really matter, and i don't think you'll even notice on rails.

It also depends on how long you plan to keep them. If its only for a season, you might as well go with the shorter size if you're more comfortable with that. If its go for a couple years, definitely buy the 181. You'll grow into it and wonder why you ever skied shorter.

I skied a 175 trouble maker for three years mounted in the center. I am only 5'6'' and 140 lbs. I found the ski very easy to handle but it was a bit long for me in the park but allowed me to ski outside the park easily as well. I scaled it back to 170 this year as I plan to have an all mountain and a park ski.
I would definitely recommend the longer ski as you are mounting it center, making a longer ski necessary for all mountain. If you found a 175 mounted back too short, you will find one mounted center extremely short. The 180 is more appropriate to your size anyway.
I'd also go with the fischer. 9th ward is terrible to their customers. If yo have any problems with the ski, you're fucked.
