Nobody cheered for the jibbers at the Bozeman premier, I thought that was great. As for highlights, everything they filmed in Jackson was rigoddamndiculous.
^what show did you go to? i was at the 9:30 I wish i was a little more sober but i remember the 240ft drop that piere did and the triple back was so dope
they used a bunch of songs from the new swollen album as if it was going out of style, it didnt even fit the parts.
Candide reused a song Andy Mahre/cory vanular/others used 3 years ago in a MUCH better T3Media film, so that was a disappointment
Sage is overrated
it seemed like a buncha shots that were all slow mo and supposed to be highlights would be found ont he cutting room floor of an MSP or Poorboyz film. like only making 90* on a 180 and buttering out, sloppy shots were used anyways.
that 60 foot step up brick thing was overrated and talked up. no one really threw down on it, movie could have been better without it
i dont consider straightlining big mountain skiing. wheres the creativity?
the only part that really somewhat impressed me was Dash Longes cuz he only had like maybe 4 rail shots. last time i saw him all he could do was rails. def stepped it up with the unnatty cork 3s and 5s.
overall, i wouldnt watch it again. TGR has met my expectations as usual and made yet another shitty movie.
Yeah, i hate to hear that a ski movie made someone so mad.
just to confirm:
1. striaghtlining is big mountain and its creative because, they were first decents in jackson hole (think about that for a minute)
2. there were 2 swollen songs
3. you didn't think that candide's 9 off the step up step down was legit?
4. dash's segment only had one rail in it.
5. sage has a richter segment! no one is hyping him. he's rated so highly because he's actually that good.
Your review of this movie makes me think that you should watch it again, because you obviously weren't paying attention.
dude you;re from WA so you've had to have had one of those days, faceshots all day fuckign bottomless, choking on it...shit eating grin all day...next day going out hurling yourself into the unknown only to be caught by the lush balnket of the powdity pow...after all that you feel nohting the least bit spiritual?
granted they do go over the top alot...they take themselves too seriously sometimes, mainly jermey jones...but eh honestly i can say i am definately much more spiritual and reflective admiring the unparralleled beauty on top of a sick fresh powder filled line...and am way closer to whatever godliek being there may be after an unbeleivable day preferably with "oh shit" cliff drops than i will ever be in some church
i know what oyu mean, but the more i ski i know what they mean
thank sage is nasty reppin it for all the dishwashers trying to do their thing. and i bet to who ever said he is over rated i bet anyhting that he could out ski you
I don't think you watched the same Anomoly everybody else did. Seriously. Also, you shouldn't be basing judgement purely on music, there's also some skiing in these movies if you watch closely.
Nobis had a short segment, but it was crazy. He hit a double stager and lost his ski halfway through, dropped the second cliff (at least 30 feet) and almost rode it out on one foot. Ian Mcintosh was my favorite section of the movie. That guy isn't even human, some of the lines he did were just so crazy it wasn't even impressive--it was disgusting.
yea. but the music makes the flick. say word it dose make the difference a fresh beat with ill sking as oppose to ill skiing with weak music. personally i cant watch it if the music is bad it ruins it for me and gets me pissed. on that tip overall ski movies have wack music except candides movies his shits have the smoothest sound tracks. JAH RASTAFARIIIIIIII. but like you said there ski movies not music videos.
theres really no reason for anyone to say shit about my posts. its just MY review, an opinion. i didnt like the movie cuz i wasnt impressed from both the skiing aspect and the production aspect. thats my view, suck my nuts and fuck you.
i don't think you can make that call, as most people haven't even seen Breath and Stop, much less watched it, though that was a sick part. i haven't seen Anomaly yet, so im not going to make a judgement on it, and also i'd like to point out that since you're from the NW you may have a little biias for T3, i know I do. how was candide's actually skiing? oh and if your doing the music copying, T3 had a chromeo song last year, and now some other movies this year are following suit.
sage did an unnatural cork 7 in a backcountry quarter pipe in 2002. if you include that in his ratings, i think they'll come out right. if the numbers still don't come out right, factor in his skillz at the turntables,
yeah but see you have a narrow view as a skier probably because you have a very small skill set. Ian Mcintosh was probably the best segment thats gunna come out in any video. And candide? sw7s on a park jump thats like bigger then chads. AND HE IS JUST SO DAMN SMOOTH. And Sage rides SICK lines, but I think his jumps are so so. And Marc Andre, ahh marc andre, last time I checked He is the KING or switch in the BC. everyone hypes Mahre, but Marc eats his lunch switch son. As for the rest of the video, you ahve to ride out of the park to appreciate it.
you my friend are ignorant. there are so many different branches of your sermen that are completely bias and close minded... the one thing i do have to say to make you look like a dush-bag is about your brick step up comment... where u even breathing when u saw that segment? Candide cork 9 off of it? are you fucking kidding me... save the critiques for a professional who isnt full of opinions...
is kye good in it? i thought he "stepped up" becaus ehe was out there with candide, and wtf happened to dana flahr, he had such an ill seg in tangerine drema
well i cant wait till it arrives at my door. TGR is the shit, great films and some amazing ppl not only on the team but also the guys from the forums are FKNA
sage is not overated........the dude came from NOTHING.....he was fucking washing dishes before he was a pro skier. Now think about that for a few seconds.....no rich parents to send him to ski camps every summer...no money to go to comps, and definately no money to go cat/heli skiing. For this guy to ski the way he does with soo little training, coaching, or expearence is INSANE. So to you i say.....go suck a turd.
Dana Flahr got a knee injury while doing a wall ride comp in calgary last summer, which kept him from filming last winter. But, good news is that he's still filming with TGR this year. And that Dana and McIntosh are good friends and breakthrough proformers when they're seperated. This year they'll be skiing together! we expect big things from that collaboration.
sage is over-rated....well, i dont agree, i think thats puerly opinion and your style.
anyway, you dont consider straightlinging big mountains skiing....have you ever skiied anything close to big mountain? youll probably shit your pants at anything over 45 degrees and not groomed. the reason people straightline shit after a couple turns is because either A) they feel like it or B) its to technical to make a bunch of little jump turns. sloguhs take out people alot, and you either have to be faster than them, or let them pass. now if were talking about looking good for the camera, stopping or slowing down to let a slough pass you looks bad.
and lastly, dash longe is a good skier. yes. but you say straightlining is not creative. and a cork 3 and 5 are creative? think again my friend. lots of people do cork 3s and 5s. even unnatty. sure theyre hard, but im thinking you need to re-word your hate.
yeah, anomaly has no spiritual journey. i assure you all. this year there's no quote like, "skiing is just about being in the mountains with your friends"
