Might be the dumbest thing I've ever done...

I went behind my house today to work on my bike track. I ended up getting a bit overexcited with tractor and I now have a quarter pipe thats a solid 6 feet. I was pretty stoked until I realized I have no clue how to go about hitting a quarter on a BMX bike. Any suggestions, invite to an ACTIVE cult, etc is appreciated.

just learn abubucas(sp) and other stalls like tail taps and such for now. or you can take the vert down a bit and work you way up to vertical over time

start riding up and down it, popping at the apex and rotating backdown, its pretty simple when you just try.
just work you way up

build a ramp, wait for snow, and destroy it on skis.

i tried building a qtr pipe at my house but for skiing one time, but theres never a ton of snow at my house, so its only like 8 ft high max, and only 2 feet thick or so, so i always just break it when i try to hit it.

practice doing 180's without airing out of the pipe. the way it works is you preload going up the pipe, then as soon as your almost stopped, jump up, look back and swing your arms around. also, hit the pipe at an angle. a full 180 is really really unsmooth

seems like you have enough dirt in your backyard for a qp hit when it snows. You could shrink the qp a little and use the extra dirt to build a nice big ol inrun. Or you could just use a drag in

also, it doent take that long to learn to air out, so you dont have to work at it too hard. (as long as the curve of your pipe isnt screwed up.)
