im going to utah for 4 days over my winter break. 3 days of skiing, one day to check out the school. im going to ski alta one day, pc one day. what should i do on the third day?
definately check out park city and alta, maybe spend the extra $15 for and alta/bird so u can check out both mountains in a day, then u might want to try brighton, solitude or snowbasin. i would recomend snowbasin tho its sick cuz no one skis there, its up north by ogden, its a sick mountain, but solitude is dope for the same reason, its kind of like brighton wit a 1/4 of the people
I would jump on the bandwagon and tell you not to come here, but it looks like your tickets are already booked. If it snows spend the whole time in either big or little cottonwood, other wise pc has the best park, brighton is probably the most well rounded (but kind of flat) and you can ski more vert at the bird in one day than anyone really needs to.
If you are already planning on hitting up Little Cottonwood Canyon, i.e. Alta, and PC Canyon, i.e. PC -- then you should explore a bit north and go to the best kept secret in the Wasatch, i.e. Snowbasin.
hit up snowbird, i went there for march break last year skied 2 days snowbird 2 alta. alta has ill woods and stuff but snowbird was the most amazing mountain ive ever skied
im thinkin about goin to u of u, so i might be able to convince my parents to bring me there for the sake of a college visit (there going nuts on me about college search and visits)
people have a common misconception about deer valley... i've skied there and they do have some sick shit.. despite the price and stuff that makes you think its some pussy rich mans resort.. they have sick powder bowls and way easy access the the backcountry..
oh and 1 more thing.. deer valley is hosting junior worlds in the next couple of years and is incorporating the worlds first SKIER ONLY HALFPIPE that is suppossed to be up and able to ski in the 07/08 season or 08/09.. i'm not sure the exact date but i know its a long way away.. but just thought i'd let you know
