Mountain bike help.

I am looking for a mountain bike in the 3-5 hundred dollar range. I like to ride trails and take some drops but will also ride quite a bit of flat. I was think something with a mild suspension. Any susgestions on what i should buy

i cant remember how much kona scraps cost these days, but i think its around 800 candian or so. quality bike for the money, and thats like 650 or so american i beleive. if your willing to buck up. or just get last years model or something.

seriously thou, from what your suggesting, this is perfect, very similar to the type of ridding i did with it. hardtails are soooo much easier to pedal around. im nodt even sayin that cause im tryin to sell it, id rec. a freeride hartail based on what your saying. plus it would help you build SOLID foundation skills
