its best not to intertwine school and newschool skiing. it just doesnt sound right. not only that, its not cool enough.

well some private schools do, gould academy has a freestyle team and cva focuses on everything, its not a high demand sport if you havent noticed and a majority of schools would have to compete within a state in order for there to be solid and consistent competition..money is also an issue

there are not enough kids to make teams and plus schools don't have any funding to add any new sports expecially one as exspensive as skiing. also its not really a team sport you notice there are not even team events for pros

there wld have to be sooo much school insurance involved with the sport that its not worth it for most school since there arent many newschool skiers compared to racers

because there are 21 kids on our race team and only 2 freeskiers in the entire school. Also there are academys like cva for just that.

well first of all how man adults do park skiing? Usally a club is started by a teacher that has interest.
Second of all, its not really a standard sport, we all love it and its growing. But the average joe doesnt know what it is.
third, yes there are comps but most school districts dont have an organized slopestyle commitee.
But if you really want one so bad, rather then wish start something!

i think its still a fairly new sport to add it to hs. Most of the freeskiers arent even old enough to be coaches. just give it time

my school has a team that a friend of mine and I started.
we have abotu 30 kids on the team and we have to keep turning kids away bc we dont have enough buses and things to get them to the mountain.
hit me up if your school has a team and wanna compete, or if you wanna start a team, i have some good info.

how many ppl in ur school of 1000-1500 kids are into our sport enought to join. your self and ur few buddies wont cut it to make the school recognise you. and if they did, theres no other school around that you could compete against making it pointless in the eyes of the school. and what teacher is goin to supervise practice? and pay for lift tickets? goes on and on and on...

itd be difficult to set up competitions on a weekly basis
plus every school in the area would need a team of freeskiers that wont kill themselve
theres plenty of reasons why itll never happen

it would be stupid, no one at my school is good and it wouldnt be fun to have a school set crew
