I bought MORE yesterday and Absinthe Films lives up to their expectations of being dope ass. Another great instalment from the guys who brought you so much snowboarding goodness it's rediculous.
This years video has the same feel as their videos in the past with the usual suspects (Gigi, Muller, Rice, Moore...), but they also bring in a slightly different group of Americans (LeBlanc, MFM, Bennee) to give it that urban feel that snowboarding is oosing the past few years. The soundtrack has everything across the board, you might not like it all, but you can look past it when you see the trickery going down. I especially like all the buttering off drops going on... and the skate influence jibbing. (for heavy skate influenced jibbing check out "Follow Me Around" by Mack Dawg).
The only strange thing about MORE is they chose to give the closing segment to Gigi and Muller after they've already had full segments in the video (Gigi got the opening segment too). Not the best movie ever, but it's definitly worth checking out for sure. If you're going to buy any snowboard video this year, this is the one (hell, I bought this before any ski video this year)

hands down absinthe makes the best movies ever. the filming and editing is always amazing. I was hoping for a DCP seggie but there was nothing. Gigi's first segment was just 3 minutes of insane pillow line after insane pillow line. Plus the zip line they set up to film te pillows is insane. My favorite segment in any video ever was in last years futureproof when mullar and dcp destroy japan. Travis rice has a great segment this year and the mullar/gigi finale is amazing too. Just incase you dont know when any of the little animated lines or cartoons appear in the corners of the screen if you press the enter button on your dvd remote it goes to a secret section. The apres ski one is pretty fucken funny. Anyways I would def. give this movie an A.
The riders in Absinthe are def. the leading edge of the sport. They throw the most amazing spins off natural snow rolls and cliff into glades or sketchy lines.

yea man, I watch that, then I watch MSP and skiers just arn't as fun to watch... when a skier is doing a big line he (or she) almost always see's cliffs and goes for them. snowboarders seam to have a more creative vision in their head, they go for everything from cliffs to rollers to cornices (weither it's dropping them or jibbing them from the side/below). I donno, just seams like they're having more fun, therefor - more fun to watch.

i think it was on par with POP... which is the end all, be all of snowsports movies...
fucking check out Jules Peyton/... Muller?'s seg... the one with the Arcade Fire song... natural hits off of everything in sight, absolutely enormous. Or Gigi's closer... he doesn't hit pillow lines, he gaps them... he doesn't build jumps where jumps should be built... he just fuckin slaps em down in the forrest... and Travis Rice, those landings on random buried boulders? What the fuck? you dont see that shit happening anywhere else. im blown away... and consequently ill probably kill myself this season... got me?

im watchin it right now, and yeah Muller WTF... ive only seen 2 ski movies so far this year but i think i can safely assume nothing will be this good... the pure amount of sick shots and im only half way through

THAT is the best movie I've seen this year. Travis Kennedy probably has one of the best styles ever and he does some really sick jib shit. Devun Walsh also does some pretty awesome pow jumps, although I'm sure it's nothing compared to MORE. I saw 'Follow Me Around' and I was a bit disappointed compared to From ____ With Love from last year, the production quality seemed much less and the editing just didn't flow. I plan on eventually getting MORE and the Isenseven movie when it comes out.

i saw more, and i saw follow me around.. and in my opinion follow me around has better riding and shooting, but more's soundtrack is so tight and the movie is still really really good, for sure worth purchasing both movies

yeah more is sick. absinthe picked up a lot of riders from kids know so look for justin benee and mfm. gigi ruff has a bunch of politcal statements in his seg. really sick movie though, standouts to me = mfm, rice, benee and ruff. movie is a pillow fest.
