I think suicide is the most selfish thing somebody can do. My friends dad killed himself today, and why would he do it. How could life be so bad to leave two kids and a wife with nothing but the pain of knowing that you didn't love them enough not to shoot your brains out. I've had a few friends who have lost parents, and it was sad, but so know that someone took there own life, its bullshit. I just cant believe it, everytime I stop and think about it, my heart just sinks and i get chills. If you ever think about suicide, think about the peoples lives who you would be ruining, because someone always loves you.

Some people are so depressed though, that they can't stop themselves. Like they don't even realize how much that others care about them, and that drives them to think that they aren't worthy of living. It's pretty messed up and sick that something like that can go through your head, but it happens. But for the people who are just pissed off and have families, that really sucks.

it's definately for pussies. as somebody else said, life can never be that bad. you just need to live up to the consequences. my thrid cousin or something killed herself and there was no particular reason. i guess she just had really bad depression. i'm glad i only met her once, cuase i couldn't ever get over the fact that somebody i loved killed themself

Yeah, suicide is definately the way to go if you want to fuck up your family and friends lives for their entire lives, and leave a pretty shitty mark for your family and friends to think about all the time. My girlfriend's dad commit suicide in '00, he left five children and a wife. It is definately the pussy way out, there are so many other options that you can take that lead to much much better outcomes.

you people dont get it.....people who commit suicide have mental illnesses. they are not 'pussies', its not like they're having a bad day because their car broke down and they dont want to deal with it.

imagine being so tortured inside that the only option you see for yourself is to take your life. this is not a feeling that any normal person ever has to feel, so for you people to judge and say that these people are taking the easy way out and are pussies is ridiculous.

i agree that suicide makes a very shitty situation for everyone that loved that person, but its not always that simple

most of the people I know who have killed tehmselves (mabye 2 or 3) have done it trying to get attention... only one of them was depressed, the otehr two were just doign it to get people to notice them. It's a horrible thing, and you are gaurenteed a dark spot in hell for doing it.

some people just get into the state of mind where nothing can get better for them. they don't see past their misery. they don't see the people that love them. I had a friend in that state of mind. he eventually got over it, but that was a scary couple of weeks. He just didn't see the good in life anymore. You can't judge anyone who has gone through that shit unless you have delt with something of the same magnitude yourself. don't call someone a pussy unless you know the whole story. My condolences to anyone who as had to deal with suicide (yours, or anyone elses).

Suicide is never the right choice...but some people do live depressed lives...and often time the public pushes them to the point where they feel no one cares about them....or that their love ones would be better without them...not that its the way to go...but honestly people should look at what they say...and realize how it can affect people...even push em to the edge. Often times people will be thikning about it...but not really planning on doing it...then someone will fuck with them...make them feel like they are worth nothing....

So think before you talk shit about people. (not meaning anyone on this topic is, but in general)

Those are are fucked stories, but I've got a really bad one that just happened on Easter, after having their mom die of cancer my friend's dad took his life on leaving 2 kids alone in this world with no family left, it's more then fucked up.

ya like i know i have considered doing it, but then i had people talk me out of it, my bf tried to commit suicide at the being of the year, he swallowed 74 tylenol, but that was before i knew him. he was clinicaly depressed, and ya hes A lil messed up in the head, i love him and hes been through so much. its not that your being selfish, its just that life is soo bad you feel you have no reason for living, i mean what is life living for, love? well when i almost did it it was cause i had no friends, every1 was turning on me, i was getting shit from every1, i had no goal in life, i didn't understand what there was to live for in life. so just think about what he must have felt for doing it, don't make him out to be selfish.

i agree with u(thread starter), ive never really thought about it that way, maybe cause i dont hear about many suicides being parents or spouses and cause i dont hear about many suicides period, but yea, thats pretty fuckin weak, u can, or should always be able to find love in your family if nothing else, if u cant, suicides not the answer, all it will do is make things worse for the ppl around u

how can you be a pussy by commiting suicide?? imagine having to build up the balls to pull the trigger or kick the chair out from under you,that probably takes the most courage in the whole fucked up world,and if you think about it,the people who do take their lvies are better off now,theyre not waking up everyday hatin themselves cuz of what they look like or because something really bad just happened and you feel like you have no reason to be alive,i personally think that suicide is not the way you should go,but i also think its better than someone else doing or gettin in a huge car wreck which was someone elses fault,and of course youd be pissed at the person who just killed themselves and your always lookin for the answers you keep asking yourself but holding a grudge against someone for the rest of your life because it was their fault they killed your family or friend,you just have to deal with all the bullshit in this world and keep living your life like you always did,surely a death will change your life for a bit no doubt about that, so talk to someone if any of you are depressed,it helps alot,i know that for a fact

i look back and i guess it's alot easier for us to criticise those who have done it or tried, i mean we don't really know what they're going through so we can't really say it's stupid. But at the same time i myself can't comprehend something that would push me to the point where i wanted to kill myself. i guess it's all self perception and how you handle stuff

I could maybe see how some destrot teen might want to(not really because teenage years are only a small part of your life), but i mean this guy waited until his kids left for school and his wife left for work. I can't even imagine what he was thinking watching them leave, how could you do that to them. FUCK! Getting in a car accident or dying of cancer is trajic, but your family knows that it was probably wasn't their fault. If someone kills themselves though, their whole family would feel that it was their fault, or know that that person would rather be in hell than be alive with them. I don't know how you could do it. This guy even knew that his dad was coming over that day. He knew that his dad would find him shot in the garage, shot in the head. Its just bullshit, I can't even imagine what my friend feels like right know. Damn.

Even with slow, eventual deaths. There is still a great amount of shock. You're are just shocked that they are actually just not there anymore. Death is a very complex concept if you think about it, it is just really surreal.

this lady that washes my clothes and shit (my mom's a lawyer and doesn't have time) left my house one day and got home to find her husband dead from a heart attack when he was running on the tredmill, i couldn't imagine that

Ive been on the verge and so has my best friend. And the only thing that really kept us from steppin over was our mothers and knowing how much that would tear them up and how much they loved us. Life is never easy but you have to take what it gives you because life is too precious and your time on the earth is never long enough. I've lost so many good friends for various reasons (cancer,car accidents, suicide)to know that each days is a gift that should be treasured and lived to the fullest because you never know what tomorrow will bring...

i know it sounds gay but if everyone was just nice to other people it might help. You never know how what you say effects someone. You dont know the shit they go through everyday at home or wherever or they stress thats on them. It pisses me off when people are total asses all the time to other people.
Suicide is a horrible and selfish decision but i can understand how people can think its their only choice. If theres someone you hate, instead of being a dickhead to them; just walk away. Why do people go out of their way to say shit to people that they dont like? But whatever, if your life sucks, dont kill yourself. Find somefriends or a punching bag. Or better yet, go skiing. Itll save everyone else some grief.

well DFT, skiing can't solve everybody's problems, cause then when we're out skiing and see a train of retards it just makes us mad cause they can't ski, o it might help some peoples problems, but it's just causing more for us

Depressed peope don't realize how much people care for them, and the people who care usually don't realize the extent of the depression, or else they'd do something. And usually depressed people are really thinking of suicide until something small (the final straw) pushes them over the edge.

People who commit suicide think that by killing themselves they will be helping out the people who love them, and that they will be doing everybody a favor by dieing. like a lot of other people said it's a mental illness that they cant control! some of you guys are incredibly dense.

thats the only reason i haven't tried to kill myself., i was real deperessed but i just didn't do it for my mum and everyone else you know?
