So the opportunity may present itself such that I am able to spend two or so months this winter working on or around Lake Tahoe. I was there this past winter and scoped out a few areas which I thought were pretty nice, but I was thinking everyone here might have some input. Basically, I'd be looking for a place close to the north shore (carnelian bay, specifically) who has a good college student season pass. The season pass is why I'm looking for a single place, by the way. And obviously this place has to have a kick-ass mtn. My first thoughts have been Alpine Meadows. What do you think?
Squaw is ILL, and Alpine has the nicest jumps from what I uderstand, you should DEFINATLY pick up a pass to Boreal shits are cheap and they have nice jibs and night skiing
Work at Squaw. Period. Best fucking resort in Tahoe. Not the best park but for that just pick up a cheapo boreal pass.
If you work at the Squaw Valley ski shop you earn about 10 dollars an hour. If you work 4 days a week they also throw in a free Squaw Valley season pass ($1,100 dollars). Best deal.
goes to show what you know^. Heavenlys pass are cheap. But heavenly sucks. I currently work in Incline village and Carnealian bay is a sick spot to be. If you can find a place there move in and get a alpine pass because they have a sick mountian with a bad ass park.
Alright, If I'm there, I'm going to be working in a boatyard/ boat restoration shop. So the only thing I need to worry about is proximity, price, and the mountain. I'll take sick terrain over a park, for sure. Anyone know what Alpine's prices go up to in october?
