so i just cam back from the push world premier in whistler, and heres my reveiw of the film.
on the positive side, there was some serious killing it in the backcountry, and some super gnarly crashes. pollard does a few cork 5's off cliffs if i remember correctly, and theres wilsons double back off of a big cliff as well. wilson by the way, is a basket case, although his section wasnt really that great. mostly just crashing. pollard had "soul meets body" by death cab for cutie, and there was an salomon team segment filmed in asia (douglas/carlson/dumont/abma) with that "turning japanize" song, which was fun to watch. alot of typical MSP action, with of course the whistler heli-jump shoot. rory bushfeild (who by the way is now on nordica, for those of you who did not know) stomps a super sick fakie double back (as seen in the teaser), and bushfeild segments are in my mind the best in the film. simon dumont plays a major role, he has a full section of just pipe which was really well done, as well as another segment of park/bc jumps with some ILL cork 3 no grabs in the same rank as tanner hall circa session 1242. sammy carlson has really the only park section, but he kills it. alot of spinning/flipping/switching up/etc on rails, as well as some solid jump action. the first 2 minutes of this movie had many many truckdrivers, it was almost funny. definately a popular grab in this film. overall, this movie was a little bit different then the last couple msp films, something about it just seemed fresh. probably the addition of carlson, dumont, and others into this movie. so anyways, thats how i saw it, im sure about 500 people who also saw it with me are going to respond/argue with every point i made, but so be it.
