Yeah my helmet has saved me from icicles, ice, rails, dirt, and more than a few trees, so I would say its a good idea to wear one. I dont know many people who dont nowadays. I think people are kindof over the whole "ohh Im badass cause i dont wear a helmet and dont give a shit" phase. It just smart

All they really do is protect your head from rocks and trees, they really can't do anything else. I did a few cartwheels through a patch of rocks a couple years ago and my helmet saved me from some serious damage there, but it still fucked my neck and I ended up going to the doctor for 8 months to get that fixed. So I wear a helmet mostly for confidence, but also because it has saved me several times. Wearing a helmet is definitely a personal choice...unless you're in Canada, then you're a dick for making everybody else pay for your extra hospital visits.

u obviously have not taken a table over 5ft because if you even just wash out on the landing of a 30ft table you could seriously bash your head in. Rails are the least of my worries, its a thin metal bar and you arent even going that fast. But hey helmets look goofy so who needs em.

i wear my helmet all the time, even when i'm just doing groomers. it's not that i'm afraid that i'll crash, it's that i've been hit by other people more than a few times in the past. plus i do random tricks and stuff off of rollers and such, so there's almost no runs where i'm not doing tricks.
