i snapped an uninc landing backseat too. but they warranteed it. then i snapped the next one too. then they waranteed it, and now im on 3. so wutev kinda a pain but if i keep getting new boards its cool
i never really liked burton stuff... but somehow I ended up having Cartels, some Burton pants, and Burton twin... I hate the three hole pattern, but I really like how this board feels. I don't see many people with the Twin, so I don't know if its really that special, only special under my feet i guess. I plan to get a different board next year. I haven't really tried any other companies for a park board though because it's only like my 2nd year in the park and so far this board is lasting. But it also could just be because I'm not that good... yeahh, burton is OK, I admit I have too much stuff from them, oh well.
GUESS WHAT?
MY BURTON TWIN 154 JUST BROKE. the tail snapped, but not completey off, and its the start of march break. FUCk burton, at least i can just send it in and get a new one for free
wow the funny thing is that ride sucks ass, and are prolly just jelous that burton is the most successful snowboarding company inthe history of snowboarding, and has been there since the beginning
It is true that they have been there from the beginning, and have been quite successful. But over the years Burton has gone downhill. The quality is worse, and the prices are higher. It seems it's all about the name now. Not the product. And that's just my opinion.
ride got into a lota trouble for those stickers. i think someone was fired over it. i really like burton boots. they've been good me so far. and i like the missions, but i broke two highbacks last year.
idk burton is everywhere ever noob is like omg burton its gay but let them do what they want...
Forum is the same thing as burton.. but cheaper lol
and there are better companies out there
Rome?
Lib Tech?
w48- you send your shit in for warranty and we'll get it back to you in 48 hours ha! try w6, you send it in and we'll get it back to you in 6 months. sent in a pair of gloves last april and just got them back.... gay.
burton hate is played. say what you will about their gear, but they keep it real. their a privately owned and operated company. a lot of their boards are still made in vermont. they put a ton of money and energy back into snowboarding. companies like quiksilver, billabong, vans and volcom are way bigger and are less influential than burton. plus, they're all public, its hard to claim your down for the cause when your swallowing up other companies to better your stock price (cough, quiksilver, cough).
the major problem i have with burton is their overpricing and lack of quality control that and i think thier boards ride like shit but htat is just me how many boards in thier line have an msrp over 500, buindings wirth msrp over 200, boots msrp over 300, if you were paying fo something that was superior i would understand but all you are paying for is the name. my advice ride a lib tech
i think thats pretty funny considering that i once found a free burton sticker in a box of captain crunch cereal... what do they have to do with snowboarding?
I don't like burton because even the good all mountain boards are overpriced.
And the big reason, everyone of thier park boards is made shitty. I work in the park, and i see them break all the time.(And i bought a burton 2 years ago and i snapped the tail off within a month of park riding)
i agree burton stufff is overpriced but now everyone is overpricing stuff. lib tech has a board out this year for $1200. it appears that snowboarding is beginning to follow ski pricing which sucks. and burton is definently one of the biggest offenders.
ib tech has one board over 1200 and it is a gimmick board, other than that they have one board the dark series at 600 all the rest are like 550 and below burton averages over 550
rome, ride and option always seem to put out good boards/bindings at prices that wont kill you
Some of the ride bindings were a little expensive so i just bought last years models.
Its also nice having setups that noone else on the hill has. Besides, burton boards are way more likely to get stolen, i doubt anyone will steal my option. I could see people going for the rome though
I just feel like burton acts like they are the chill company of snowboarding, always out for the good of the sport. The only thing they really put out thats pushes the sport are those ltr boards. I used to teach and those bindings are pretty adjustable even without a tool.
The outwear is alright(still overpriced), i have some black burton pants and an older model of that ipod jacket.
no i could understand if that statement was true but burton puts out crap, i can and will pay for quality, the argument here is that your not geting what u pay for with burton.
