im pretty sure this isnt the typical noob question but if it is whatever.. i have herd longer skis can help you balance out your spins more in the air, makes sence to me. has anyone actually tried bigger skis and if so do they help balace out your spin that much?
yeah, it makes sense, but it's partially due to the extra weight of longer skis. think of the difference between skiboards and shorter skis, and the same principles apply to longer skis
it all depends on where the bindings are mounted. ive got some 183 volkl p40 gs skis and the bindings are mounted toward the back. they are terrible for spins. if the bindings are mounted towards the center, they will spin more balanced, because the radius from the point of axis is the same from tip to tail. another thing to consider, long skis are more stable for speed, and less squirly for big jumps.
