Ok. So Everyone pick your favorite resort, or choose delagates from each resort constituency and post the updates for the Mountain you most frequent. Say if some person goes to Sunshine, then post Sunshines updates. If someone frequents COP then post the snowgun progress.
Of course if you always want, you can go to a website and look for youself rather than getting biased and sometimes silly opinions from Regional Forumers.
I pick to give the current 10-4 on Fernie.
Its goin' RAIN....

Oops, I'll continue the post....
.... try and remember to give frequent updates (if you feel like it ofcourse). If one resorts constituent representative is lacking.. then no big deal, someone else just do it for them.
peesowt.

well no new snow at louise since lasrt ime it rained here.
for cop even though im not the leader person, i got my letter from them and they will be starting early with 50% more snowmaking this year and they have a different place for the beginner area, so the park will be a bit bigger im guessing and also the pipe is a full world class pipe. so there you go,

hahaa that should be easy you can just copy paste this for every report:
"so they got some new features and lots of snow (somehow) but the park guy does E when he grooms so the "80" footer has no lip and none of the rails are remotely set-up right, but somehow this is better then snowvalley."

ok, so i was at cop to pick up my pass today and i checked out what they were doing, first, over by the ski race hut they have in the middle of the run close to the ski jumps, they had a monster pile of dirt there, and they also had a big pile before the drop on the side by the ski jumps, i am guessing that the airsite will be at one of the 2 spots, it looked pretty crazy, also the pipe looks HUGE i cant wait to ski it, plus thy now have either 4 or 5 light standards (4 i think) on each side of the pipe so there will be really good light for the park this year
and in other update news, on the skinakiska and skilouise web sites it says TERRAIN PARK 06/07 COMING SOON
so thats a good sign, i hope they get started early on their parks and have really good jump and rail set ups

Is cop still building the air site? that will be sick, either way they raised the run in up about 50 feet, so there will be more run in for the big line, and the pipe will be 22 feet aproximatly

yea sorry to snake your update ben...but i got some shit to add on
the half pipe is supposed to be a tad bit longer again this year, extended to 450ft. and 22ft. walls (2010 olympic standards)...also, like said above, the inrun for the big jumps has been moved back so there will be more flat before the first hit...and for the little rippers, burton has sponsored the park this year and are building a "progression park" where the magic carpets were last year
and as far as this 80 foot airsite jump goes...i don't think its going to happen personally because of insurance issues that cop somehow never seems to get around...it would be tight as hell to see it happen...but im expecting it to be around the 50-60ft size at the largest

hell, even a 60 footer at cop would be insane, probably the funnest jump in alberta if they can build it properly!

agreed...like the first jump at a couple points last season was super fun...but very inconsistent...and they were what, 40 or so?? i'm really interested to see what they pull out of their asses, its always something sweet

It would be sick to have a jump that is atleast 50 feet, and some rails set up with gaps and not all street style, but what they need most of all, as said above, is consistency, smooth well build jumps, and rails that arnt all built for one plankers

also it would be nice to see a single bar rail, whats with all the stupid flat bars now-adays? i would love to have a nice gap to single barrel rail!

and a staircase rail, if i am right, I belive they built one a couple of years ago but never set it up because of liability issues, so now it sits in the basement collecting dust, but that is just what I have been told

Do you have a block for a head? You just specified you want to see less streetstyle rails...
The Streetstyle rails at COP arr dope. If anything, they should keep all the streetsyle rails that they already have, and get more gap on rails so 'you' guys can go do them, and I will stick with the city style rails.
Mountains arr still a little brown..

I want the staircase rail to be set up like urban, thats why it is over stairs and a single bar, but im tired of everyrail they have being street style, they need some boxes and rails with jumps and gaps on so we can spin on, while keeping some street style so they have a whole veriety

the only "street syle" rail cop had that i liked this past season was the long flat bar they put beside the diving boards...shit like that is fun...but they need to get a like 6ft tall 30ft long flatty with a good gap on and off...nice big gap to down rail...all the rails cop has are biginner shit and only that...we need to see some more gnarly ass shit, and now that burton has sponsored the park maybe we'll actually see some!!!!

that would be good, imagine all the kinds nutting them selves though. ....ouch.

then hopefully they would leave it alone and let people who can actually ski hit it!, its a great way to keep little kids out of the way and out of the park

the reason alot of the little kids get hurt is because they go in the park and sit on landings...thats also a reason experienced jump people get hurt, so this waiver thing definately helps people out, if true

the whole waiver/park pass idea has been floating around for 2 seasons now...they want to eventually have a park pass/waiver type setup like whistler...but cop is generally too small for it to efectively work...plus everyone knows that the kids without the "big park pass" will try to snake the park anyways...which means they'll need more monitors which means more money which means a good chance its not going to happen

that would be dope. i asked them about that last year and they were worried about to many people hurting themselveso n it.....
