go with an SRT4, i mean lets be serious, the 3000 is lame, and the 300 zx is too old of a car. holy engine cram, you cant fit a pencil in anywhere. but you can pick up an srt for pretty cheap now, my brother got his for 16,000 about a year or two ago, 30,000 miles. idk, just look into it, but you should post your price range man.

it's a neon
it's fwd
i've come to the conclusion that no matter how much you invest in your car there will always be someone who has a car that is faster than yours, so what you should be trying to do when you build up a car is to make it the most fun to drive. the 300zx is going to be that car.
fwd =/ fun to drive compaired to an awd or rwd car

the 300zx is fast, but not fun to drive.
I don't like cornering in them. Then again I don't like cornering in a 3000gt either. I've owned one and those old jap cars are not as precision as the machines today. Both waaaay too heavy. Get a MR-2 and work it. If you're on a budget even the 1st gen MR2 is more fun to drive than my old GT

forget both, get a dodge stealth rt turbo, it has twin turbo and it is all wheel drive so the tires won't spin forever while you are pulling off. and its only about 200lbs heavier that the 300zx, my friend did his up with a new exhaust and a boost controller and got 11.2 on the quarter mile. look up dodge stealth rt turbo on youtube, there are so many vids on them smoking 300zx's and skylines.

I'm a way bigger fan of the 300zx especially if you can find a fairlady model with a wider body.
