Ogden Utah could become the best ski town in the USA?

Check out this site and see what you think... There are some big plans for Ogden. And if it all happens Weber State Universtiy could become the best ski college in the World....

invest in land, but don't move there. it might get some good ski companies, but slc is the hub not ogden.

utah is so sick you have no idea. theres so much snow here. i moved here a month ago the mormon thing isnt really that bad.

Yes but if they put a resort in Ogden w/ be a sick place to be. Plus Ogden is way more relaxed that SLC....

there already is a resort, it is called snowbasin, and it isn't that good. all they might do is put a gondola from weber st to the mtn. it would be cool for students, but the u is a better school, and there is much more ot do in slc, also, then you are that much further from good skiing in little cottenwood canyon.

Buy some land. I'm going to. DNA is already stationed there, and more seem to be moving. Property looks low still, and cost of living isn't too high either. SLC is the big one though. A little bro to SLC totally.

Did you even look at the website? It is going to be its own resort. It has nothing to do w/ Snowbasin. And BTW... Snowbasin is the best restort in the State of Utah. But if you want to waste your time in Little Cottonwood go right ahead...

at first i was really skeptical because ogden's like the same elevation as slc - 4500 is way to low for a base area around here. but if the gondola's going up to 9300 in a spot that'll probably receive A LOT of lake effect...well, it could be pretty sick.

as to the "it's still utah" comment...if that's a reference to the mormon thing, yeah, it's utah, but it's not provo or st. george. ogden is a railroad/military town, not very mormon. (for the record, slc has a low percentage of mormons too, it's the suburbs that are inundated). also, little known fact maybe...military bases carry full-point beer, none of that 3.2 stuff. so if you know anyone with a military ID or a dependent card, ogden's Hill AFB has got the best selection of alcohol in the state easily...for cheap too.

still, i'll stick mainly to the slc-area mountains. but i would like to get up north and check stuff out once in a while.

Do NOT go to snowbasin, I sucks, It only gets a bunch of snow on super steep shit, you dont want that, btw the park sucks, go to park city.
