There is so much bullshit with naming what a trick was/is.
'no, that's not an underflip, its a rodeo'
how about if you can't do the trick, don't tell other people how to do it.
The majority of this stupidity over arguing what a trick is called comes from kids that have never done it on skis before.

great point, it is bullshit when u see ppl say somthing is somthin it isnt and then they get all high and mighty and argue about it, but sometimes, not very often, but i like to ask what something is, i usually only trust the opinion of a few ppl here tho, like k2skeepimp

well the reason this shit has to have a system of names is because ppl need names to associate with things, its not like u could remember everyone u interact with without being able to identify them with something, i know thats not what u meant, but its just the way things work

ghostdragon's point is good cuz when your not concerned with all the names and bullshit you tend to do things you didnt think you could do cuz your not in the mindset of the textbook trick. But like somebody else said above every trick needs a name you cant just be like ohh i just did somethin sytlish and thats all that matters cuz its like...wtf it leaves you hangin. trick names are cool and they give the trick its own indentity. trick names are especially cool if you invent a trick. you cant just not name it cuz then nobody will ever have anything to associate the trick you just made up with. just dont get hung up on names though, thats when gay arguments start. jus my 2 cents.

i think that some people have different names for the tricks because they arent from a newschool mountain so they come up with their own terms

that's a great point that I wanted to make snonasty.
When you get out of the mindset of textbook tricks, you give yourself room to create by looking at things differently.
Instead of having boundaries, you look at tricks from the perspective as being Flips on different axis', and stalling spins out with them.
You'll do more what flows for you.. and who knows, you may learn something that no one has ever seen at your mountain before.

well of course you are going to try and correct them on everything they do and say.
now just for the record, im working on 720's this year, ive stuck a few, but not enough to have them dialed.
so now if i go into a chat room and correct someone saying thats not a underflip its a rodeo, i give of the image that i know what im talking about, therefore i must be able to do the trick.
that is why the post on newschoolers are a repetative cycle of stupidity, everyone just 'one ups' the other to infinate.
although i must admit it is very very funny

Me too man, but I think we need a few basic trtick names. I agree with trtick names. I just dont agree with all of them. For exmaple I think we need, ROdeo, Misty, Cork and Flat, A D-Spin is just a cork, an underflip is definitly just a rodeo, a Bio Is a cork. Its all Bullshit, I mean, dont tell me Vinny INvented the underflip, I've seen old videdos of people doing 'rodeos' that were perfect 90-lincoln-90s. We need to define what the trick is. Not to make up 3 names for the same thing.

an underflip is more similar to a misty not a rodeo. rodeos are backs and mistys are fronts. im sure you just got mixed up. and underflips are retarted they are misty 5's.
