anyone ski the new line anthem yet?? just wonderin if its a good purchase?? if you have...does it ski the whole mountain well, ie. park, pipe, bumps, and groomers??
I like them around the mtn, but in park mainly. The width isnt noticable after the first few runs, and they are super fun to butter and carve around on. Just picture beefed up invaders that can handle a little more of everything. I'm no bump master, so I wont make a judgement there, but I like them all around. If your looking for less park and more of other things, stiffer skis like chronics are definitely the way to go.
cool, yeah i had the chronics last year and liked them for bumps and jumps...the anthems area bit softer then huh? i ski ussa freestyle so i do wanna know how they ride in the bumps. anyone??
i've never skied the anthem, but the invaders completely suck in the bumps. due to them having such a long tail, they're constantly pushing you farther forward than you'd want to be and driving the tips straight into the moguls. my 92 waisted MSP skied bumps better than the invaders did, so if you're looking for a bump ski, stay away from the invaders or anthems. you might wanna check out the k2 silencer or salomon thruster instead. both of those are still relatively soft, although not as soft as the lines, but will ski bumps much much better.
yeah i thought about getting just a pari of bump skis and a pair of park skis i am just trying to get the best of both worlds. now i am not sure if i should say fuck the anthems all together??
