Hi, I'm looking at buying some VCTs, and I am wondering how ell they perform in the park and on groomers. I ski mostly big mountain/powder, but i wanna have ski that will do well in the park, and i can get a pair for 500cdn. Also, im about 5,7, 130 pounds, and I like to think I'm a pretty aggresive skier. Think I should go 175 0r 182?? Thanks a million
ONLY get the 182's if your goin to center mount them otherwise i think the 174's or whatever they where would be fine since your only 130 pounds but they should handle the groomers and park decently
Just remember that the flex changes with every size up. My friend who is about the same size was in the same position and was thoroughly convinced that the 175s would be better for him after a discussion with the smart dude at decade.
From what I hear, they are a great ski, up there with the Gotama as far as fat powder rides go, only reason I stopped considering them myself was that the 190 has a lowered tail, fuckin' ridiculous, but the shorter lengths have a nice, full twin, and yes, if you're a decent skier, which you should be if you're looking at skis as nice as these, when in doubt, always go longer, you can grow into a longer length, but a short ski will always hold you back.
Just so you know, K2 Measures running surface, not tip-to-tail overall length, so the 179 Vicious and the 182 VCT, while different skis, will be about the same length.
