Video camera help

i am trying to decide what video camera i am going to buy. i am looking at the sony DCR-VX2100, sony HDR-FX1, and Canon XL2. each has its own pros and cons, which i have researched for hours, but does anyone have any personal experience with any of these, or have any information that i may not know about any one of these cameras.

the vx2100 is the cheapest
then the fx1
then the canon xl2

id go with the vx2100
the xl2 is way more expensive then both those
and if you get the fx1 you better have a heka good computer to handle the hd footage

yes its the pro version of the vx. So it has xlr adapters and other more 'pro' stuff.

if you have to ask what camera to get of that caliber you shouldnt be getting one. start out smaller bro.

i might have said that, but if he has the funds to do it i say why not. Youre just definetly going to spend a while to learn to use it correctly if you want the best footy from it. Auto just wont be up to par.

why? shooting HDV is not really not much harder than shooting DV. In some situations, it's easier.

what makes you assume that i dont know how to use a camera, or that this is my first camera? I have been upgrading cameras over the past few years, and i finally have enough money for something good. this is probably my 4th or 5th camera. I wanted ot know some personal experiences. i believe i dont want HD (HDR-FX1) because of the interlaced video, making it annoying to edit and convert, as well as its inability to conform with many formats (DVD players, hosting online). the XL2's 24P and 30P frame Rates are impressive, but the camera is just too large, expensive and impractical for what i will be using it for. therefore im going with the VX. I would just like to hear some 1st hand stuff about the cameras to re-inforce my decision.
