Just saw the premiere. Just talked to CR about it in person. Anyone that doesn't find that rehab stuff inspirational has never been on a hospital bed and had a doctor tell you you might not ski again. It's more discouraging then you can imagine. So to all the little kids on here who hated on S & P because it wasn't segmented, and got sick of the talking, narrating, and CR's dad watching his son very nearly die or become a vegetable, fuck you.
Plus Tanner, Kye, Seth, and Vanular all fucking KILLED it.

i love you! Pop Yer Bottlez was my favorite film for 06 and i cant wait too see S & P plus they got the sickest soundtracks of all time. and Tanner R, Tanner H, are my favorite skiers of all time. ( havent met up since yearbook right?)

i haven't seen this movie yet, but i do know one thing about videos like this.... after you watch it 20+ times you are fuckin sick of hearing people talk and seeing shit like that.... you want to see the skiing and that's it

this is true. it might not be a movie you would want to watch 20 times. But even though there isnt really like constant skiing, some of the tricks will have you pushing the rewind button. namely vanulars bio/flat 810 and rail transfer, and tanners double back. plus all of seths shit.

I dont think anyone actually hated on CR getting messed up. everyone pays their respect to him.
People hated more on the structure of the movie.

yeah i feel that, they just hated on how it was more documentary-ish but the point of CR getting fucked up then coming back couldnt have been better illustrated. And as much as we want to see straight segments of our favorite skiers, this movie really documented the injury and it's effects better than any segment could have.

This movie is different from everything i've ever seen and I LOVED IT!!
If you only want to see park and street skiing, just don't buy it.
This movie brought you more than just tricks and music.

I haven't seen it but I had the chance to buy it yesterday and I bought snowporn instead. I just think this, Tanners wreck in TBC sucked, CRs wreck, tragic, but you know what, I am not going to buy a ski video for like drama drama I don't care who wrecked if they didn't die and they are on top of their game again in a year then its really not something that need to get ploayed out in a video unless its bonus. I just wanna see editted skiing.

did you even see my remark to this thread? i said I LIKED SHOW AND PROVE! not every person at IHNY has the same opiinion, we all like different shit. and what movies ahve gotten negative comments from ihny? only god save the robots, because it deserved negative comments. the fact that those kids live out west and blow at pow skiing just hurts my mind. Show and Prove had epic bc shots and i liked the feel at certain points, it made me want winter to come and made me just wanna ski pow lines.

my favorite section was pk hunder and tanner's urban destruction...that got me pumped. i also liked ski porn, alot different from previous pbp movies and its a good change. i didnt like some peoples parts that were really park oriented but i loved others. i thought jp's was wayy cool

I got it yesterday and it was sick!! I'll agree that it did get alittle boring in some parts but i dont care about that too much. I loved how it flowed though, totally different than any other ski movie. Also great skiing wheter it was from the sick urban to the sweet tree skiing. People are just stupid cuz they dont appriciate something different or what was happening behind the scene.

lots of people said it sucked but i liked it a lot. It was a really mellow feel throughout the whole movie, and it was cool to actually hear about the season plus see them skiing. The narraoting wasnt nearly as bad as people said.

they save pretty much all over the palce that its a tanner and cr movie...and they do amazingly well in proving that...some of the drama parts were a little long id say but the skiing was fucking unreal!

Went to the premier in Boulder. This is hands down the best ski movie ever IMO. Does it have the biggest park jumps and the gnarliest tricks ever. NO. I don't give a shit because what this movies did was perfectly convey the true essence of freeskiing. I almost started crying during this movie. Seriously. It was the beautiful. This movie has the most amazing pow, tree, skiing ever documented. And T-Hall rapes pillages and kills everything. This kid bleeds style not only on jumps but making turns to. Best Seggy ever in a ski movie: T-Hall vs. Morrison. Damn straight. This seg could not have been better planned. The contrast is unbelievble. They are both wearing the same shit, so they look similar, but you have the father of big mountain freesking, and the newschool freesking god skiing together in endlesss pow. They both huck left and right, and it is so sick to see the contrast in How T and Morrsion ski. You have Morrison who fucking charges and destroys everything thrwoing huge backs and fronts of cliffs, and then here comes t, cork 7 off cliffs, cork everything, sick sick sick. Most beautiful pow shots every, I could go on all day about this movie but I won't all I have to say is this: IF YOU DON"T FEEL SOMETHING AFTER WATCHING THIS MOVIE, IF YOU ARE NOT SERIOUSLY MOVED, THEN YOU ARE NOT A TRUE SKIIER. YOU MAY SKI BUT YOU ARE NOT A TRUE RIPPER.

Why the hell are all the film companies trying to put an "essence" or "meaning" into their films lately? Please dont, if I wanted drama I would go buy the first season of the OC. I know you want to convey what the season was like, but put the skiing first, story second.
And please dont use fucking voice-overs like TGR does, it's really really lame.
Just give me good skiing with a good beat, it isnt much harder than than...

Well If they wanted to make a movie about, CR's recovery they should have not tried to call it a ski movie, and just made one about that, I would have watched it. But I don't like the way they did his recovery I did not think it put enough empasis on it for the time it took in the movie, It was just like: meanwile CR has done this. It did not actualy really convey how much work he had to put into it.
I also thought that there was way to much focus on Tanner he is a great skier and I loved the california segment and the last Pemberton segments, they were great.
But I still don't think the move was that good, overall the editing was not very good, and to say cory vanular had a segment is an exageration, he might have had 1 minute of screen time.
So are you saying that I should enjoy a movie let alone say it is great becuse I feal sorry for someone.
Saying CR. had an extreamly hard year, harder then most people ever will,
and saying a movie that features his recovery is good are two different things.
Are you also saying that people should all go love anomaly, becuse Marc will never ski again.

I would have to say that its not that I didint like S&P, but seeing CR in a fucking hospital bed barely alive pretty much , eh, I guess you could say bummed me out. I mean, when I want pop in a ski vid or get stoked on skiing, I dont want to see someone in a coma resulting in going out with friends and shredding. HOWEVER, I thought the movie was really good, everyone had been dissing on it cuz it was the true love story of CR an T hall, I dont know what movie they saw, but the movie was just different. And in a good way. If you wanted to see somehting segmented go watch ski porn. so not everyones a SP hater.
