Replying to A Letter From Louise To Me Regarding Terrain Park and Bussing Services
Good morning Chad,
I appreciate your time taken to write your comments to us. I just want to
be sure we are on the same page. We, as I am sure you know, are Resorts of
the Canadian Rockies (RCR) but we do not have a ski hill in Banff. Sunshine
is separately owned from us, as is Mt. Norquay. So, that being said,
firstly it would be more adventageous for us to run a bus to Lake Louise.
We are always interested in looking for a feasible option for running a bus
to Lake Louise from Calgary, stopping in Canmore but in the past it has be
economically burdensome. I understand the drive to go riding everyday
humanly possible and a bus would be a great way to do that! However not
enough interest in the past has made it unfeasible.
There is bussing for the kids that live in Canmore and Banff that work at
Lake Louise and Nakiska, but that is obviously for employees only.
Secondly there is the "Sunshine Bus" that runs from Calgary to Banff, but I
do not have the details on that, you would have to contact Sunshine
directly.
We have a partnership with "Magic Bus" that runs from Edmonton, to Lake
Louise also, for your interest.
As for the park, are you referring to the park at Lake Louise? If so, the
park will be very similar to last year, complete with a pro line and so on.
Please dispell the rumours that there won't be a park! I am a snowboarder
myself (as well as a seasoned skier) and I am looking to increase my park
riding skills so I would be personally disappointed if there was no park
this year.
I look forward to hearing your comments at you at your earliest convenience,
I hope I have answered some of your questions.
Tell me a little about your filmmaking interests, do you mostly do
snowboard/freestyle films, you have an interesting email address so it makes
me curious.
