Strange Folk Movie Review

Well I just got the movie Strange Folk by Stept Productions and I've got to say that this is a pretty solid movie. For AM movies, it's on top among the best. The segments where all meshed with the exception of a few and the quality of the shots was very, very impressive. Not many street rails but for the ones that where where insane. This isn't because the rails where insane difficult (with the exception of the one between the two other rails on each side- insane) but because of the shit that was thrown down on them. Just let me say that this one down rail gets destroyed by all the skiers. It's mostly park with some chill glade skiing and smaller cliffs with some trickery off them. The level of skiing is incredible. Any trick that has been thrown is thrown in this movie... with the exception of the double flips of course. There's a wide range of skiers in the movie showing all different styles which was really nice. There is a segment that shows skateboarding and snowboarding so if you're into those two things then it's a nice addition to an already solid movie. There are some funny lifestyle shots that are just well... enjoyable to watch.
Some problems are evident in this movie, along with all others out there. With this the editing. The editing is crazy and very good but in some spots it's just overdone. It seems spaztic at some points and it just disrupts the flow of the segment. The other problem (this may just be my own personal taste): using Knarls Barkley for the skateboard/snowboarding seg.
Overall this is a very solid movie and for 10 bucks it is definitly worth it. I'm actually going to re-watch again right now.

^yeah... i ran into the same problem. I'm super happy with the way QUICK! turned out, but theres always those things you wish you could make better... with like another month or so of time to work on it. Oh well, you'll always see things that could be better. It's never going to be PERFECT. At least not in the eyes of the producer.

when you make ski movies and you watch them when your finished you dont like your product and chan ge it so much you just fuck everything up. thats the problem we have, but it all ends up good in the eyes of others. the ways of the world

^ Come on already. Stop using the word "we" everytime you describe making your movie. If you are the only one editing it just say "I". No one is going to think less of it because I myself am making two movies right now by myself with some input by the people who are in them. Oh they're not skiing so don't expect a teaser on here anytime, except forthe mid seasons shitty ones that where already posted.

i definatly loved it. Stept did an amazing job with the location/rider segment format.
The footy was amazing as well. I personally like Nick and Cams various segments.Urban was amazing, jumps were sick, i LOLed at times, soundtrack was awesome. A+ from me
I will admit my cameo in the VT Open segment was clutch to the movie. It really gave the movie structure and flow. Nick, You can send my cut of the profit to my new mailing address. thanks.
