the tail isn't really that big on jp juliens, they totally claim the tail like it is huge but it isn't. I would say the fatter the better...prophet 130 or something like that.
Definitely a large tail on them, but I dunno, just cause it has a huge tail doesn't mean it's the best, I would also say the Bacon, seeing as how they are a BC booter ski and Pollard stomps huge zero-spin shifty on them in the line video, and the 130s are insane, I seriously doubt that you would ever sink in and eat it with those.
um, yes I have seen every version of the j j in person. Yea the tail is pretty big but it isn't like that big seriously. Armada makes it out to be so damn big.
it depends what you want to do. for jumping id take the jps or the Big troubles as they both have higher tails than tips. the bacons are also good and you can do all sorts of crazy butters and stuff. but i'f you're planning to ski lines switch (which i doubt you are, only pollard and pep really do it well) then the prophet would be ideal cause it's girth wuld prevent you from diving.
does having the higher tail really help that much? id think just having a wider ski would do more? im not gonna buy a ski cause it does better landing switch anyway, just as long as it dosent suck.
your talking about bacons? how well do you think they would do for bc kickers if they were mounted really close to center? id mabye get elizabeths, but they just seem so short for a pow ski, and i kinda like the extra length, im not very big at all either, but i still think id like bacons though.
i'm not really an expert on switch riding in the bc, but last season's gotamas looked like they had a monstrous tail and if you watch m.a-b landings in soul pourpose, he seems to think so!
bacons are good for booters, they're 115 underfoot, so you're going to float. They'll probably be fine for you unless you're planning on strightlining anything big. I think with your light wieght, you won't have too much problem with their softness. definitelywill work well for switch, pollardstomps all kinds of shit on them.
keep in mind that pollard rarely skis the standard bacon. i believe his are custom made with like a 150 mm waist but the same graphic, i may have this wrong tho...
he does have that specially made ski that's 150 with liz graphics, but he also uses the bacons for everyday skiing, hey are the ski he does that crazy BC butter in the MSP trailer.
