There is hardly ever any skiing whatsoever, its all freestyle motorcross and snowboarding, do the corporate puppets at foxsports.nmet know that there are other sports in the world. and what the fuck is up with that fuckin flamer who acts like he's black, but is just a total homo?

i've got nothing but love for snowboarding, my brother is going pro in it acctually, but i 've been watching the show for a bout 2 1/2 weeks now and i haven't seen a lick of skiing.

ummm....news flash...ALL THE SHOWS ARE LIKE THAT...to the rest of the warm world our sport is about as interesting/fun as under water basket weaving. So therefore no shows do any stories on newschool. Think of it like you think about Horse Racing...does anyone actually watch the Kentucky Derby? I didnt think so...its the same thing to the people in Kentucky with our sport. Our sport is only about 4 years old, skateboarding is like 20 years, give it another decade then start complaining about how our sport doesnt get any attention...

...the other sport like ours that isnt getting much coverage is paintballing, it has been around since the 70s, and it is the 3rd fastest growing sport in the nation, and i have NEVER seen anything on TV about it...

what? you're dumb, just because you heard about it 4 years ago doesn't mean that's when it started.
if you can set a date for when it started i think it's safe to say that when state of mind came out (7 years ago). 8 years ago it was starting, but don't think it got out till 7 years ago.

Paintballing, who cares? Skiing needs to get more recognition altogether, its been around for a long time and as soon as snowboarding comes along everyone thinks it is so cool and they don't give skiing a chance, they only know what they see on tv and thats why they should put more skiing on there, its the best sport ever!

after i am done with classes, i always turn on fox sports and they have like 3 hours of 'extreme' sports programs. 54321 is pretty much dickish to skiers, tanner and i think someone else were on, but on one of the shows in rush hour, they dedicated the whole show to snow sports and gave skiing the same air time as snowboarding. they showed some comps and this sick urban rail comp for snowboarders, but it was cool to see. so it is on, just sporadically i guess

Here in the UK, there is a show on about 3 times a week that shows ski videos all the time - normally in Winter it's 15mins of a ski vid, then 15mins of a snowboard one. It's pretty sweet - Strike Three was on yesterday.

yeah all the shows are like that in the U.S. one good show is Re: Evolution, that shows a lot of skiing, but leanne tweeden hosts it so you cant hate it that much

All shows that are about life style sports will only cover the sports that they think are the biggest for ratings. Even though that some of the sports that they cover are way to covered way to much, they will do it day after day showing the same sport just for ratings. They dont care what skiers or other people that do diffrent sports that dont make the shows that much.

If you think about it you'l figure out why there is no paintball on tv. are you going to have people running around a paintball area with cameras? and who wants to sit and watch someone hidding behind a tree shooting at someone else. And skiing isn't well known yet in the wide world of sports.

actually they showed pep's, jon's, tanner's, and candide's slopestyle runs... not sure who else's but they showed their 4's.
and did anyone else think that if candide didn't overshoot his last jump he would have won? i sure do. his run was amazing - i think he just got too pumped by the end though and he just couldn't handle it anymore.

do u really want skiing to explode? Do you want skiing to become a fad like snowboarding and have it all over the media? Skiing is already starting to become a fad with 13 year old brats getting twins for x-mas and think they are badasses. Skiing right now is great the way it is, its like a subcultue in a way, its our special sport. Its our lifestyle and nobody can tell us otherwise. So dont let the media influence you to be pissed about skiing because its never on TV. If you want to watch skiing then buy a movie and support the pros and companies that keep our culture goin. and everybody really needs to stop bashing LINE. Support LINE, Armada and 4front and keep skiing how it is. Low key and our own thing.

yes...but those 'brats' will start newschooling and will turn into the next pros...not every pro skier has to have some connection with another famous skier, or live at Mammoth. They could grow up in Brooklyn and ski on the weekends like Raps, or they could live in like Calgary and when it snows they would go hit handrails.

little freerider im talkin about kids who get skiis for x-mas and they cant ski and think thier badasses. kids who never even knew what skiing was until they saw a video of somebody like tanner and said wow i wanna be just like that guy. then they go into the park thinkin they own it and talk mad shit when really they suck nuts. Kids like this dont make the sport better, they make it ten times worse and ruin it for everbody. these are the kids im talkin about. kids like kye and his buddies shouldnt get bashed either, power to em cuz they are the future of skiing.

dude, when does ESPN show their Extreme Sports segments? I mean, every time I flip to it, all I see is motocross, hockey, or basketball or something. I watched 54321 for the 1'st time last night.....too bad that's the only 'extreme program' i've seen for a while. Other than the Winter X-Games they showed a while ago.
