Got Dirt on Liberty??

It seems to me that everytime someone is looking for a suggestion about what skis to buy someone says "anything but liberites." I dont understand what everyone has against them. I wnat to hear your personal experience against Liberty skis. Are they really heavy? Do they always break? What makes them so awful?

They break very very easily. I know someone who has a garage full of broken libertys.

they aren't really heavy. they are really stiff but thats not always so bad. my stealths have had a few problems like bubbles int he base and edges getting knocked under the base and delaming at a tip eventhough the rivet is stopping it. they are pretty good. im planning on warrantying since i heard they have an awesome warranty problem. i also hear they are improving big time each year

they break when you hand flex them-i saw a guy in a store hand flex them and the ski broke right there; it was fuckin hilarious

First line of skis: bindings ripped out.
                     FIX:  metal added under mounting zone
Second line of skis: split tips and tails
                     FIX:  tip and tail rivets

They are dedicated to listening to the complaints of their customers and improving their product.

P.S. I do not work or ride for them.  I'm just a customer and supporter.

they may have rivets but it doesnt mean they dont delam.

All you have to do is see them to know they are not quality. They simply look and feel cheaply overbuilt out of heavy materials. They look like something made in someones garage. I skied the '07 lineup and I was not impressed in the least.

my dude had a pair... two pair of choppers and they were just ruined so violently. half way through the season he was missing 2 feet of edge and the base underfoot was gone... he was just sliding on the core of his ski.

super unreliable as far as durability, hopefully the 07s are better but if you want to be sure you can count on your skis holding up stay away from them at least till next year

like someone above said liberty really does listen to you. my tails delamed so they added tail rivets and shit to my skis. and when my edges ripped out it seemed like they held in longer on the next pair. there really a good company if you like light and stiff skis.

i haven't seen those, but i've seen what happened to one of their riders after a day at vail...thank god he had a few pair with him.

i also rode a pair that was just made like shit.  the bindings didn't even mount properly because the sidewalls were uneven.

damn right, when a company like liberty hears that BRAD'S tails delam they say "whoa, we need to fix this," and so they did. And he had some of the crappy ones that snapped and still isn't hating on them! personally I'd still see what this years are like and maybe pick them up at the end of teh year

alright lets get things straight here.

I posted that video cause my friend who was sponsored by them got a buncha shitty skis the year he was sponsored and they dislike liberty.

I wasn't trying to make liberty look bad i just think its a fucking hilaroius video. and im sure their skis have gotten lots better then they were 3 years ago (the skis in the vid are 3 years old)
