I heard there was a Jon movie coming out this year and someone pointed out on another thread that he isnt in any of the big movies this year, anyone know if and when its coming out?

there was supposed to be one, but I think because of financial problems, it won't happen.

You can each take your stab at this one, but here's the story. Ostness intended to do an entire movie on Jon this year. He ran into trouble when several of his movie sponsors had no interest in Jon (i.e. Helly Hansen). No money means no movie. The rest is history. There is no TBC movie coming out this year. RIP TBC. I really hope Ostness changes his mind. He's clearly the most talented ski filmer in the industry.

Yeah i second that, i was looking so forward to TBC2 comming out, i was devistated when i found out it wasnt. but i was hopeing for the jon olsson movie, it would be the next best thing!

i was sorta hoping ostness would take on the project without helly hansen as a sponsor...i bet j lindeberg would do just as good a job without money...and i strongly think head would too. he shoulda made the movie without a big budget and made it like an am movie. i bet it still woulda been amazing...plus who fuckin cares about making tones of money for sponsores...make it to make history

i'd guess that in theory not making money for sponsors would be a real cool thing but due to the fact that there wouldn't be much money put into the advertising there wouldn't be nearly as many people buying the movie. and ostness probably needs to make aliving too.
