is it just me or do any of you guys love making a huge spray of snow when u ski? especially in powder i love getting my speed up and having a huge contrail behind me, i dont even want anybody to be able to ski within 40 yds behind me. one day at loveland last year me and atlskier were in one of there huge bowls and he was behind me. i got going pretty fast in about 12 inches of pow and he got nailed trying to ski behind me, it was really funny. just thought i would share my love of being totally sorrounded by snow. oh also last year at copper i got my first face shot. it was march 10th and the weather sucked, it was super windy and the snow was drifiting in some areas. the weather cleared for about 10 minutes and it was perfect timing because right when iut cleared i was staning at the top of a perfect widely spaced tree run with a few moguls. the whole thing was blown in and the snow was maybe 25 inches deep and the sky was dark blue, the sun was bright and each turn i made i sunk down and the snow was billowing over my body. I love it when your in the snow and u start turn, u feel urself start to sink and then bam, it nails u in the face and all I can see for about 5 seconds is perfect snow all around you.
its fun to do that into the luftline. yea ive never had an entire face shotrun, but i can only imagine. i never hit my west trips right, it just so happened that the snow was blown in perfectly. i got like a 4 turn faceshot. then i dove into the trees and i couldnt go as fast.
There were about 2.5 days this season where it was like that. You'd think it would be really hard to choke on snow, but if the right amount goes down your throat you just can't breath for a minute.
yea powder is pretty much the best thing ever. here on the east, kicking up ice chunks and loose grannular is all we got. that shit hurts like hell to ski behind.
back in the day (When people refer to back in the day, it was a wedensday... just a little fun fact, take that home, chew it) my buddies drilled holes in their tails to have sick roostertails... shit was amazing.
But seriously, I got face shots for like 2 full days at snowbird this last year... and i was on prophet 130's. If I were on tele's I couldn't imagine.. Only the tops of their heads were popping up from the snow. soo sick.
word, i hate the east coast, it basically sucks for skiing, but it ake what i get. i was on some 05 skogen sprang that float ok, but this summer i got some 185 cratch bc's that are sick and i cant wait to use them in pow. pow is basically whatim obsessed with, im not that intoi park, i just cant get enoiugh powder and since i live on the east coast i really dont get to ski much at all.
