no way. as smeone who builds skis, thats stupid. for one, ABS sidewalls blow. they are ok on cheaper skis, but on that kinda budget, UHMW is the only option. its lighter, stronger, more resiliant, and has better dampening properties.
also, thier construction is BASIC. yea, they come up with fancy names for shit, but its all the same stuff. WOVEN triax glass is ok, but unidirectional, layed up layer by layer is much better, and allows alot better customization of the flex properties. the fancy dampener they talk about is a thin piece of rubber tape layed up over the edges, used in just bout every ski, and its practically free.
anyway, ive never really been to impressed with them. ive always thought the skis were so so, the graphics were bad, and the name liberty just plain sucks. are they horrible skis? no. they are pretty light, i will give them that, but they just dont stick out as anything worth buying over all the other stuff out there.
