so ive got a vx1000 now and i want a new camera, i love the 1000, but i just want to try something new, and it would be nice not to have a 10 year old camera. so im trying to decide between a pd150 or a vx2100. i know a bit about the vx but not much about the pd150, so what do you think?
If you really want an upgrade go with the pani dvx100. If you don't want that then get the vx. If you need the extra inputs then get the pd but if not its just a waste of money.
i wouldnt sell your vx1000, id keep it for filming lines with death lens and buy a 2100 proabbly. Then you can use the 2100 for all low light shooting and some day and use the vx1k for the rest. The pd150 was made for mostly indoor shooting and like he says has XLR inputs and some other features.
well ill probably be selling my 1000 to my friend who i snowboard with all the time, so ill be able to use it whenever, he also climbs and stuff so i guess he wants it for that too.
oh yeah and how much do you think id have to spend for each? i know probably 1000-1500 for the vx, but what about the dvx100? on ebay they are going for alot, 2000 is probably the most i could spend, and i want to spend less if its possible
I saw a dvx go on ebay for $1560. I almost won it too. I'm glad I didn't though I would have had no way of paying for it because I won a vx a week later.
ok thats good, as long as i can get one for under 2000 ill get one, i looked at some reviews and stuff and it seems like everyone loves the dvx. and if i cant get one i think ill go for the vx instead of the pd.
I have a friend who might sell me his dvx w/ matte box and rail support for $1,900. That is, if his sponsors give him the money to shoot an HVX first though, so I've got my fingers crossed.
