Whats a good resort with snow the first week of january

i want to go to colorado, possibly big sky or any other suggestions would help

well everywhere will have snow the first week in january since most of them open around thanksgiving. in colorado aspen,crested bute, telluride, vail, breckenridge, loveland, copper, araphoe basin, but i would go to alta, snowbird, or jackson hole.

im going to alta in a year.
and i couldnt say where to go. aspen is great and my dads been to vail and said it was also sick

Big Sky definitely is not in Colorado.

i know its in montana, i want to go wherever will have nice tree runs with a lot of snow, ive never skiid anything other than the east coast so i dont know what will be best especially that time of year

Big Sky's trees aren't very good. On the lower mountain they're fairly tight and have a good amount of deadfall, and the upper part of the mountain just doesn't have trees. Your best bet for tree skiing in montana would be Big Mountain.

If I was to pick a place to be the first week of January it would be either Jackson Hole or Alta.
