so yeah i get this video at my local shop and the kid working there is like yo check this vid out it is sick. and i was like well i mean all the other tanner hall videos sucked and he was like no man trust me this shit is hot. so i spent 20 bucks on it and raced home. well all i can say is this is by far the worst movie i have ever seen. its basically a love story about tanner hall and cr johnson and they dub over tannners season with the lamest voice overs i have ever heard. im sure u kids know how lame msp voice overs can get, well basically multiply that by 5 and u get show and prove. for example: " the dark cloud had finally lifted, and tanner could ski again..... tanner and friends headed to hit some rails in the cold artic tundra of europe. it just goes on and on. there is even some random shots of tanner hall eating cereal and going to bed. Perhaps the lamest part of the movie was when tanner is hitting this massive hip and it keeps flashing cr's face and crs dad stroking crs arm and crying.
only buy this movie if u are in love with tanner hall and think he is the greatest thing to happen to skiing, also buy this movie if u dont really care about anyother riders skiing and you really like to see cr rehabing. ull luv it. three minutes of good and 50 minutes of crap. its so worth the money

no do judge the movie off this thread. theres a few sick urban shots and a few other tight shots but nothing u wont find in another movie without 30minutes of random footage

and i said to myself i wouldnt judge it based off this thread for tha reason, but man i wish i had, it was so bad i thought it was a joke and at any minute the real mvoie would start. only one thug song and its the one from the trailer

are you kidding me? a few good shots? there wasnt one shot that was bad in the whole movie, all the bc jumps were amazing, and tanner and everyone throwing every trick there is off random stuff in the trees, you cant find anything even close in other movies, it beats the hell out of ski porn, mahre's segment was the best ever though.
and the way they did the movie was so awesome, how its kinda like a story/movie about skiing, i do think they could have cut down on some of that extra footage, but this is the only movie where i actually liked all the extra stuff.
mabye you dont get it, this isnt supposed to be just a ski movie with only skiing like every other movie, its a documentary of the ski season, but instead of some warren miller film, there is only cool skiing, no tele, racing, no shitty old men skiing, its all tanner and the best skiers ever the whole time, the filming is much better than warren miller or anything else, the editing and stuff is way better, everything is soooo much better.
this movie is the first one ive seen thats actually original, its not exactly a documentary, and its definatly not another unorigional ski movie.

and is that a bad thing? mabye thats why you hated the movie so much, its not shitty rap with gay gangster skiing the whole time, its actually a quality movie.

definatly, id say he does alot better than in pyb or any other movie he has been in, he may not have done chads in this movie, but he does such awesome stuff off bc kickers, and like i said the tree skiing throughout the whole movie is crazy, he is throwing so much shit off everything he gets any air off. and he does a really really suprisingly good job skiing the bc.

basically i thought this movie was one of the best i have seen, the filming, the editing, and the whole way it was put togather in general was awesome. It was actually a movie that took skill to produce, not just a camara, a computer, and a editing program. I was entertain the whole 53 mins. i couldnt take my eyes off the TV, every shot was amazing. i dont understand how you could say it sucked?!?!?!?!?!?!? because there was only like 5 mins of park?????? if thats the case then your fuckin stupid, i love this movie, and the actuall skiing

I've seen it yesterday the first time and I have to say that it is quiet a different movie from the ones I have seen so far. I liked it a lot, because it was differnt.
Tanner`S style is amazing, and I was so impressed what he was throwing in the BC.
two negative points from my side, the breaks between the segments seem to long, which kills the flow of the movie.
And that not every scene is underlined with music disturbet me as well.

the skiing is tight, but when tanner has like 8 segments and then everyone does cork 3's it gets boring. kye kills it, sick as fuckin urban, and the tree skiing is sick, but the movie is so poorly edited and narrated, it isnt intresting at all. the whole movie was poorly made, except the skiing. all im saying is im never gonna watch that again ill watch skimatic that movie is fuckin sick

the skiing was fuckin siiiiiick, but the way they put it together just turned me off from the movie as a whole. i know about CR's injury, and have heard about his rehabbing and all that, i don't really want to see a ski movie based around it (not trying to sound like a douche, kind of hard when debating this topic though, eh?)anyone else like the section of t hall sessioning that hip, with the 8 shots of a 270 with cuts to cr rehabbing? good stuff right there. the narration shit was downright corny, and was laughable at best. and the ending.....HA! wow. that's all i need to say about that. i also liked the shots of tanner that really didn't have any relation to anything, like walking around his kitchen and maybe contemplating eating cereal? then leaving and driving. real pivotal shit right there. but the skiing was sick. hah.

...and now i'll probably get a bunch of kids saying "blah blah blah NEW AND DIFFERENT, blah blah blah PROGRESSIVE, blah blah blah". well, cool? i didn't like this "new and different/progressive" movie, maybe next time i will. until then, i'll be watching other movies.

and i'll leave you with a quote from a smart, respected man. "if you like skiing, and the movie 'The Notebook', you'll love Show and Prove!"

if you like 11 hour then you will like this movie becuase it is basicly 11th hour on strait crack best movie ever hands down every segment is good i could only imagine how crazy it would have been if cr wasnt hurt cant wait to next year and ow ya seth

i didnt mean to hate on cr it is just that injuries are part of the sport. In all fairness cr had a pretty bad injury and had a hard time getting back on his skis, but is there really a market out there for a ski movie based on that recovery? I dont think so, Look at Marc andre. He didnt get a whole movie and his injury was severe enough to prevent him from ever skiing again. Although Marc never got a movie based on his emotions and struggles the entire ski community has his back because everymovie out there drops a little respect for him, but not to the point of vivid flash backs of him in the hospital. Over all this movies was just like a joke that u thought was going to end..... but never did. although the idea was somrwhat progressive, when u look at movies like afterlame with the same concept, show and prove falls way short. and kids who hate on bad reviews, well its an opinion.

I agree with anyone who says its the worst movie ever. Sure there were some sick shots in there. But when the movie is 50% of the exact same 360 and 50% of completely unrelated shots, it gets very boring.

I'll admit, i walked out after the first 15 minutes of the movie. I tried watching it again and regretted it completley.
Do i care if Tanner runs out of cereal? No. Do i care if Tanner plays with a dog on the street. No.

The whole idea of a Tanner/Cr Documentary is so rediculous to me. When i watch a ski movie, i want to see skiing, not random shots of Tanner and CR, and not cocky narration that was clearly written by Tanner Hall. I'm not tryin to be a  negative nancy, but if i wanted to watch a love story between 2 men, id watch Brokeback Mountain.

Dont get me wrong, I'm not taking anything away from these 2 amazing skiers. For sure they kill it. It was just a horrible concept for a movie.

i guess i just dont get why some people hate it, i actually have ADHD and i cant sit still for more than 5 seconds, but if all you other ADD kids just try as hard as i did, after likie 20 minuites you will be like "holy shit" and realise how awesome everything is. i thought the way it was put together and filmed was better than any movie ive seen so far, i guess if you dont like it thats your opinion, but i definatly suggest you buy it and watch the whole thing atleast twice. while i was watching it for the first time i was thinking "wow this is pretty gay" then at the end of the movie i was like "wow thats the best ski video ive ever seen!"

just try it anyway, its not expensive, and from what other people have said you either love it or hate it. its pretty much a very very cool style of warren miller with only freeskiers and much better filming and much better editing music and everything. and if you dont really like the extra talking and stuff just fast forward through it cause the normal segments are pretty much not interupted and you still have 40 minuites of skiing, the 13 extra minuites is everything else.
this movie is too different to say its bad, you cant tell what its gonna be like at al from these reviews

they just show tanner walking around a cabin or something for like 15 seconds and he picks up a cerial box for like 2 seconds, its not like they make a big deal of it or anyhthing.

If you want to make a crew movie, copy Community Project (best job at it) Robot Food or that TGR based on locations (can't remember which ones).

Those complaining about ski movies not being made by freeriders: what about TGR, Team 13 (RIP), Rage, Theory3?

Sorry but 90% of the people defending this are just huge Tanner fans that will praise everything he does, pay $200 for antifreeze Crowbars on eBay and tell people to buy his pro model without having ridden it. It's cool to like him, but ya gotta be objective.

So I am going to see the pseudo premier here in a few hours, I will let you guys know what I think. Last year at the premier of Pop yer bottles I was incredibly drunk and I don't even remember what happened. This time I will be mostly sober, so I should be able to give a decent review. Peace.
