Why has people been bashing the skiers that pioneered freesking. Bashing skiers like CR and Pollard and saying that they cant keep up with the trends in skiing or that there a shit load of skiers better than them is retarted. Freeskiing would not be where it is today without them and the direction of skiing is still in there hands because they are the best in the world.

I haven't heard much of it, but when I do they don't get away with it. Don't worry they're just uneducated. I can garuntee you that those guys get the most respect ever.

Man, I was just on another thread and they were rippin on Steele. I can remember back when Steele and JP were rippin it up back the late 90's(not that they still arnt). Steele threw down the best slopestyle run I have ever seen 2 years ago at that X3 competition. It was so sick, corked nines, misty 10, 270 on 630 off, buttered up boxes, it was sick. Its not so bad if you state that you think one skier is better than another or you like there style better, but to say why is Steele in the icer Air over those other guys is really really retarted

Yeah but like I said before, the kids on this site are just uneducated as to where the credit should really go. Think of it like this; you talk to your parents about music, they're going to say some bands they listened to a long time ago are better than the ones you listen to now while you say back that your bands are better then theres. It's all about who the kids grow up knowing and to them, those skiers are the best. You see what I'm trying to say?

Glen Plake
Scott Schmidt
Eric Pehota
Doug Coombs

these guys were changing the wayt people ski long before the likes of cr, pollard, douglas, jp, jf, etc... were even on anyone's radar!

Pollard, CR are dope and rips everywhere, and those assholes that picks on Steele Spence (if you referred to him) can quit skiing and start with kid porn instead.
Spence rips everywhere, his railing skills are fucking insane. And the sw 9 truetail in the LSS teaser is my favourite trick in the entire teaser, it was pure style that looked easy AKA STEEZE!

so many people have helped freeskiing along, freeskiing wouldnt be here without julien, jp, jf, mike d, vinnie, and all the other first-day-rippers and wouldnt be where it is without pollard, cr, tanner, jon and steele.

i know that a lot of people dont even remember the times when jf had badass segments and scott gaffney threw clean misty 7s off 30 ft cliffs, but these kids got into freeskiing a little later, you cant really blame them for this.

imagine the first movie you would have seen wasnt the game, area 51 or sm 1 but war or tbc. you would have no clue who jf cusson or mike d was. same with all these other people that were around from the first day on.

the fact of the matter is that skiers get old. There ARE skiers better than Pollard and CR in certain areas of the sport because neither of them are 20 anymore. This is probably one of the reasons that they moved their skiing primarily to the BC. Just because you admit that the "pioneers of freeskiing" (which neither of them are) probably won't win many more x games medals, doesn't mean they aren't greats. Hell, Pollard's skiing has become almost artistic in its form and creativity.

You make a good point and i could not agree with you more on the point you made.... other than the"just shut your mouth right now please for the love of god!" part. CR, Pollard, Steele, I'm sure all those guys look up to the guys you mentioned... and I'm sure the guys you mention look up to guys when they where coming up in skiing, I'm just saying that guys like CR, Pollard, and Steele brought freestyle to where it is today and still drive the direction of skiing.

wow I can't agree less with that doozy of a comment. Honestly guys lets all take a step back and look at how young freeskiing really is. The way i'm seeing it as of now freeskiing is still in its adoloscence and in no way mainstream or grown up. People like CR and Pollard are propelling freeskiing into where it rightfully should be so I really hope you guys respect these two as much as the New Canadian Air Force.

i just hate the kids on NS that all they do is bash, when some one has been workeing hard on a video and is pumped that they posted it on NS kids just bash it saying that they suck at editing and skiing instead of giving them hints
