im thinking of getting the silencers but i had also thought about the anthems. im about 5'6" and weigh 130 pounds. i ski mostly in the park and im an advanced skier. let me know what you guys think, thanks any feedback would be great
i just went to my local shop and checked out the silencers, definitly not, the are way heavier then i thot and the tips are real low to the ground. fujatives are way nicer, id say go with the anthems tho, havent seen them yet but from what i hear their good.
i got a pair of 179 silencers and i'll be mounting them core center and will be riding them in 43 days so i'll let you know if they suck or if they rock.
anthem just because they seem super fun and silencers seem like just another budget park ski. And suprisingly considering the dimension differences they actually are fairly similar skis as far as what purpose they serve. they're both pretty much a park ski that's meh out of the park.
Silencer is actually the footprint of the original Public Enemy (80mm underfoot) but with a cap construction to reduce cost. It makes the ski ever so slightly softer than the first PEs, but with the same flex profile. Fujative is the K2 offering designed to be a softer-flexing transition destroyer. We wanted to have a solid ski that isn't going to be a wet noodle as soon as you start maching down the hill or take it to the steeps, so we created the Silencer.
i demod the silencer last yr and i hated it, i love my old fujis but these were a let dowen, my centermounted moships with a 97mm waist were easier to rip than the silencers, they felt very noodly even comparied to the 178 invaders i rode too.
Um, you mean symetrical tip and tails, as in the tip and tail are the same height? That really has not much to do with it. Sidecut, weight, width, and the overall shape are more important than the height of the tip and tail.
Err, I meant the symmetrical dimensions and flex of the Anthems for true center mounting and equal control going forward or backwards, all that good stuff... Not the height of the tip and tail
