Transfer of Program, without installer

Ok, I got my comp reformatted, and I go to get MSN Messanger, and its now Windows Live, and its gay. I want the old MSN, I have it on another computer, but not the installer. Is there a way to transfer the program without the installer, because the icon is just a shortcut. I'm stuck, anybody wannn help me out?

no. just like you cant put all the files in the recylcing can and have it equal being uninstalled you can't just copy the files and have it run. if you want to find your old msn try googling it. you might be able to find a 3rd party sight that lets you download old versions.

I tried torrents and Limewire, no luck, but I havent tried a 3rd party yet.
