The Daily Show has a lot more content and mature humor to it, I find The Colbert Report to be really juvenile and cheesy....all the time. Also, Stephen Colberts act of being some super crazy right-winger goes over the top for my taste. I prefer sublety over the in-your-face things that most americans seem to demand.
First and foremost- I LOVE the Colbert Repor. What pains me is the fact that Stewart is losing everybody from his show. Most of the reporters and commentary people have left, and it's hurt the daily show considerably.
i prefer jon stewart by far, because has his human side to him. Colbert's fake extreme right stance justgets annoyinh when his message would have been far better played by doing the sort of thing jon does... The Daly Show is more sophisticated, and you don't see the president of pakistan coming on the colbert report...
Colbert Report is worth it for just "The word" section alone.
Daily show is also great but they are hilarious in different ways. The Daily Show is a funny news show while the Colbert Report is more of a parody of "The O'Reilly Factor." Both are great in their own ways.
I agree completely. Colbert report is entertaining no doubt, but the daily show is much higher quality and still hilarious. i like that jon stewart is funny as himself, whereas stephen colbert is always playing a character.
he's the man, and i like the colbert report better than the daily show, just cuz stephen is more sarcastic than john. He's not trying to play the part of a right-winger, its just that his humor is so sarcastic that he almost has to.
